I came here on a Sunday evening at 8pm with a group of 5. We tried the king salmon crudo, wagyu gyoza, beef ishiyaki hot rock, chutoro truffle roll, sashimi platters, uni, yakimeshi - fried rice and a whole Peking duck. All things wagyu and fatty fish anything were amazing!! Just melts in your mouth. What a treat this dinner was true fine dining sushi experience but hard to get full without spending a lot of money! Pictures aren't the best because of the ambience and lighting but it was great experience with great service!

Sat at the sushi bar because we were a walk in, but food and service was incredible! Got the Matcha cocktail, the shishito cocktail, popcorn shrimp to start, katsu chicken and bulgogi steak for entrees and loved it all. The complimentary soft serve was unexpected and was the perfect way to end the evening!

Beautiful inside with great music and kind servers, but unbearably slow kitchen and the food is genuinely bad but covered with nice plating and menu language. So many better places to go in Hyde park. Save your time and money.

Came here for lunch and the food and atmosphere is amazing! Loved the popcorn shrimp with veggie fried rice and the bento box! Portion size was descent and enough to fill our bellies! They gave us complimentary ice cream at the end which was a nice touch! Ro Hyde Park is one of my new favorite spots! Can't wait to come back again soon!
Probably my favorite place in tampa for sushi! Nigiri and Sushimi is great, just expensive. Specialty rolls are better than others in the area. The restaurant itself was very nice inside, and clean. The service was good, but didn’t appreciate the hostess telling me it would be a 15 min wait when the place was empty. 5/5 stars for best sushi in the area. It’s a shame this place wasn’t more packed. There is lots of potential.

The food was good, the sushi was fresh, the atmosphere was beautiful, the service was friendly. They don't have high chairs for the kids, but my daughter is tall enough that she managed well with the chairs that they have for adults, and they were able to provide juice and a water cup with lid and straw for her. I got the poke lunch which was yummy, and I highly recommend it, and my husband got the beef ichiyaki hot rock and it was very tasteful when using the salt and sauce that they provide, and an interesting experience to cook the meat the way we wanted. The gyoza was good. Parking is as expected in Hyde Park, the parking garage nearby is free parking. All in all, I would highly recommend this place and come back again.
Can we all just stop pretending that low-lighting, open kitchens, and a ritzy location are worth overpaying for food? It was good but I dropped over 70 bucks on 20 bites...I counted. That's $3.50 cents per bite, people. Is that normal?? I don't know...maybe I don't get out enough...

I was in town to watch some spring training baseball and one of the vendors at the stadium recommended I visit Ro. Their recommendation really was spot on and Ro is something I believe everyone needs to experience.The food was good, the whiskey selection was excellent, and the service was impeccable. More importantly, the location really made for an enjoyable experience as I really love to people watch.I highly recommend Ro if you're looking for a fun night out and good food.
W O W!!! This food was a m a z i n g!!!! The only miso cod I've had that is better than Nobus is the one at Ro! We got the sashami platter, the waygu dumplings, the tuna carpaccio, the salmon, the miso cod, the Ro roll and the spicy hamachi roll and all of it was superb. Hands down my favorite restaurant I've been to in Tampa! Excellent service too!

We chanced upon this restaurant as we were strolling along Swann Ave. Such a lucky find! New Japanese restaurant with a lovely ambiance and great music. We loved the food. It was delicious as well as artfully presented. Our server Becca was very knowledgeable and had good suggestions for drinks as well as food. She took very good care of us throughout, making our dining experience that much better!
