what a disappointment this place is. came highly recommended! we ordered omelettes, and they were like two pieces of Kleenexes with microscopic ham in one, and the other one was sausage the size of an eraser head! Way overpriced for a $15 omelette! very disappointed! ☹️
We found this place because we were looking for a place that served beignets. It is a bit hard to find being in a strip mall but it's worth a visit.

Shelly’s is absolutely amazing the minute we walked in for our first time visit, everyone was friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the home fries the best I’ve ever tasted in any restaurant in Tampa Bay. This will be our Sunday spot for sure.

Finally! Proper French Toast!Shelly’s is a comfortable and friendly breakfast and lunch café. The coffee is nice and strong, and the raisin toast (often hard to find) is good. Shelly’s brags a bit about their pancakes and I’ll try them next time. But for now, I wanted French toast. So often it’s soggy in the middle and here it isn’t. The bacon eggs were good. I thought it was slightly pricey. In any case, I’ll have to return for the pancakes.
Prices just a liiiiiitle steep but every part of experience top notch! My wife had blueberry pancakes that were off the charts and I had a three meet omelette with side of potatoes . Both very good. Typically when I get an omelette out it's a gamble but this was very good! Well done, Shelly's!

FANTASTIC!That's my overall view at the end of a quickly devoured breakfast. It's a darn shame I don't live closer or this would be my regular breakfast place - and I'm not even a morning person.I started with mildly impressed with the decor and ambiance, certainly clean and well-kept, with my only initial reserve proving to be unfounded; I was expecting bog standard diner coffee but it was strong yet delicious. Our server Kaylee was attentive and thoughtful, full marks on service.I had full stack Shelly's pancakes and the fruit was fresh the cakes fluffy and the whole presentation excellent from plating to the last blueberry.The only critique I could possibly make, and please don't let it detract from you visiting, is the scrambled eggs were not great - I've had fluffier - but do have the home friesHighly recommended.

Drove half an hour to have brunch here as it had the best reviews in all of Tampa. Was definitely worth it. Great food, almost impossibly fast service, very friendly. While diner type appearance, was very clean (including restroom) and food was amazing - as good (or better) than home cooked. Absolutely recommend.
