Great place. Great coffee and chai latte. Staff was super friendly. You can watch them roast coffee while you sit and relax. Apparently family owned - love supporting small business.

Very nice coffee shop option in Sparkman Wharf. Lots of people WFH during the day. There is plenty of indoor seating and some outdoors too.

Visited this shop at Sparkman Wharf and LOVED the coffee!!! Provided a great beverage alternative to alcohol while enjoying time at the wharf. The barista (Alissa) was so pleasant and wonderful - she offered her help in selecting a drink, explained the flavor creations to me, and sold me on the spiced orange iced latte. It was phenomenal - subtly sweet and a perfect balance of cardamom and orange. We were there visiting our daughter so I was a first time customer and now wish we had a Shortwave Coffee in NC!Thanks for a great experience and a perfectly crafted iced coffee!Dietary restrictions: Lots of milk alternatives!

One of the best matcha lattes I've had in the Tampa area. It comes in its natural form, not presweetened like Starbucks. It was made beautifully without being too expensive, only about 6 dollars. Super cute interior. The hummus bowl was good as well, it comes with so much hummus i had to take some home!Parking: easy to access if you live in the area by walking, if you are visiting youre gonna have to park at sparkmans wharf or another parking garage which costs money

I work in the area and am a frequent visitor to Shortwave. The best thing about this location is it's manager, Jordan who has a "whatever it takes" attitude, which is shared with the enthusiastic staff. As far as coffee, there are many different sources that are expertly roasted on site. I've had most drinks and would say my favorites is the mint mayday. The nitro is top level as well. I'm not a matcha fan but the baristas have convinced me to try it a few times and I will say that I enjoyed it. They also made me a dirty matcha, which was off the menu and was fantastic. I've had some of the food and enjoyed it but I come for the coffee and the great environment for meet ups or just to get away from the office. Thanks for being a place that has become a bright spot to my days.

Cool interior and conveniently located but that’s where it kind of stops. Did not enjoy my coffee and was borderline cold (ordered a hot coffee). Lady at the counter had an attitude as well but is what it is most likely won’t be coming back.
Love their coffee! It’s an extra treat to the senses when they are roasting their beans. One of my favorite if not the favorite coffee around Tampa.

This place was super cute. I love that they had different milks and sweeteners (honey included) on the counter so you could add what you like. I had a really good blood orange hibiscus tea and added oat milk. Would definitely come back to study!
