We visited Taps Restaurant yesterday evening as we had tickets to a show and the restaurant was conveniently located very close to the theater. The food was great, as well as the atmosphere, but the service was not. We waited over half an hour for our drinks and the wait for our food was also way too long. While it is a small establishment, they seem to have plenty of wait staff so I don't know why we had to wait so long to be served. We arrived two hours prior to our show, but barely made it back in time to the theater which was right up the street. Aside from that, the food and drinks were great once we were finally served! My recommendation is that you allow yourself plenty of time if you plan to go there.

This is a great spot if you're going to the theater right nearby. The food is just fine with a nice variety for everyone. We were a fairly large group and the restaurant service was attentive and efficient.Vegetarian options: One of our group was vegan and the restaurant was very helpful for his needs.

The service with the whole staff was excellent. Our waitress Sammie was awesome. Traveled to Tampa to celebrate my daughter's 57th birthday party of about 27. The food was spot on for taste and freshness, the prices were great as well. I loved the selection of wines. Definitely would recommend and I myself will be returning.

We stopped here while traveling through town. Loved that it was in walking distance of the Marriott so we could go there trouble free. The food was the best around and it was a very comfortable place to hang out into the evening. Good beer, food, and great service.
This was our first visit...most likely our last. When we got there, there was a huge party just standing around the bar. They were totally flooding the tables so people that wanted food had to wiggle in. The staff originally said we could sit outside (in the cold, no thanks) or just deal with it. No one even asked them to scootch away from the tables. My food was fine, but my hubs got the wrong food altogether. The drinks were good. Music was weird and way too loud for such a tiny space. Was way too expensive for what it was.

Taps had a great ambiance with comfortable seating. Our service was mediocre, food was average, we chose this establishment to celebrate a special occasion. I would definitely go back now that we know what to expect.

First let me start by saying the location is amazing and frankly they have no excuse to put out the garbage food they do. If youre going here strictly to drink youre golden but dont expect to order some nachos unless you hate food with taste. They food was bland and bland is probably too nice. Can you screw up pizza? Seems hard. But they did. Down to the lava cake that was a dry hot piece of cake. No lava. How can you say lava and be a dry cake? Sad because they lust pay a mint in rent but up your game, Tampa has so much great food to offer the onlybreason youd go here is if it was right next to your hotel and you were too tired to go anywhere else like us.
