Bad Monkey Bar in Ybor City is a hidden gem that offers a fantastic blend of being in the heart of the action while still providing a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The food was delicious, cheese sticks were the best I've had in a long time and the service was top-notch. Cook got the wrap wrong but no biggie since I was honestly trying to decide between the Buffalo chicken wrap or the chopped beef wrap. Ordered the chicken with ranch but was actually the chopped beef. No complaints that the cook decided for me lol. Also while eating, I loved the feeling of being on the strip yet feeling like I had found a secret spot to enjoy. Can't wait to go back and soak in the unique ambiance all over again!

Staff isn’t very friendly. Most of them look like they’re already trying to start a problem and then once you engage they appropriate as you the outside individual is the instigator. I’ve been there a handful of times and it’s always the same thing. Not to mention the amount of times I was skipped over while waiting at the bar to get a drink. The bartenders clearly made eye contact but proceeded to assist the clientele with fairer skin.

Spent the afternoon walking around Ybor City and stopped in to have a beer and chat with the bartender. It was on a Monday so the place was empty but it was still a very nice experience. The bar tender was extremely nice and the beer was served ice cold. This place has a cool atmosphere and and even cooler story of hot it started. Be sure to make a stop here on your trip out here

I can never figure out why a bar never has the proper amount of staff on special occasions like Knights Parade ??! 2 Bar tenders who acted like they hated being there - to serve over priced drinks - I just walked out after trying to get a drink for 15 minutes .
Great place to have a beer but there was no food. We had to leave the event to find dinner elsewhere.

Bad Monkey is a great spot to jam out to your favorite tunes via their boombox type thing. You can pay a little mula to have your choice of song play next which is nice. Service is spectacular and the bartenders are very friendly. Affordable drink prices in the heart of Ybor City. It was poppin on a Saturday night around 10pm. Great people and better vibes!
