Maybe I came on a bad day but I’ve been here before and it was very inviting. But this time it felt very weird. We walked in sat down and there was no music playing it was pretty quiet it felt very awkward for a cantina.The food here is amazing and so are the drinks but the atmosphere could’ve been better.

I stopped in for lunch to place a to-go order and sat in the outside area. The bartender acted as if I was bothering her and she did not want to be there. She was unpleasant and rude while she was taking my order. I ordered nachos and asked for no sour cream or guacamole and extra Pico in replace of the sour cream and guacamole when I got my bill she charged me an extra $1.00 for the Pico. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Urban Cantina.

I was in town for my birthday and wanted authentic Mexican food. We googled and found this place. The closest parking was about two blocks away and we paid $20 for the parking. After walking in we were served a water pitcher and two glasses. Both glasses had dried up food on them and the water pitcher had particles in it: I informed the waitress and she gave us plastic cups and water bottles which was perfectly fine. I then asked for a cup of ice and the ice had dried up food stuck in it. The experience was uneasy and terrible. Here are some pics below.

Sad to believe one of my favorite restaurants has gone downhill.? Visited Urban Cantina a couple of days ago with a group of friends, and how many times can you screw up a meal?!! About 10 times.***Food was cold***, drinks were bitter, waitress brought in the wrong mixed drink to the table, and to make matters worse one of my friends meals still had the ****tomato produce sticker mixed in her tacos****We asked to speak to a Manager/Supervisor and we were told that there was NO MANAGER/SUPERVISOR on duty.This is the last time we visit Urban Cantina!! I have visited this place for 15 years...and is absolutely out of touch with the clientele!Hope owner sees this upsetting review, so it can be turned around as soon as possible.

The food was fine but the billing is unusual. We were a party of three. They bring the bill total on an electronic device and show and tell you the final amount. I ask for paper receipt so we could check the bill before paying. She said, we give you that at the end. But on the electronic device it gives you tip options of varying amounts. I picked the standard 15% amount.Turns out they had already put a 20% gratuity on our bill and the the 15% I gave was on top of that. It's fine. But a patron should know in advance. The fact they show you only the final amount an electronic device (small tablet) AND add 20% on a party of only 3 people is unusual.

Good and fast lunch/dinner options! My husband got the steak fajitas -DELICIOUS! I got the cantina bowl for $12. Okay prices compared to some other places in Tampa bay.Was busy when I came but service & food was incredibly fast

I called in for a replacement order and got rejected for reasons that aren't my fault. I explained how my whole order was incorrect. I was told by a rude young lady that didn't want to give her name that since it was more than 1 week ago they can't honor it because they get many orders and can't "keep up" with complaints as well. What kind of protocol is that and it's not my fault they can't "keep up". I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager and was told they don't have one. I guess Christopher Rivas is the owner but he was "not available". Your protocol needs to change or the lady needs to be retrained.
Our bartender Steven was friendly but busy. We received our drinks and food quickly. Their margaritas are poured out of a bottle and not made on sight. The chips are super thick and hard. Unfortunately I was not a fan of this place. It’s nice sitting next to an open window but still loud. It was an okay place for a quick bite and drink.

Haven't received the delivered food yet, but since I needed to contact them about a modification that I couldn't make in Uber eats and they don't pick up the phone, pretty sure I'm not gonna love what they send. What business has an automatic ", sorry, phone number XYZ can't come to the phone" message? Terrible customer service.
