This was my first visit and it won’t be the last! The service was phenomenal and the food was even better. There wasn’t a long wait, which was what I expected with the food being made to order. I loved the jerk chicken wings. They literally fell off the bone. And the curry goat….man I can’t wait to come back again.

My birthday was completely ruined thanks to yah mon Caribbean restaurant. We made reservations for 8:15pm ! 30 mins in we got our drinks which was sub par & jerk wings (they are super spicy btw but good I’ll give them that) which actually got me excited for the rest of our food which we NEVER got ! We waited well over an HOUR INA HALF & NO FOOD ! We paid nearly 70 for 2 drinks and wings! I am just highly disappointed in the establishment! Do yourself a favor don’t waste your time or money here especially not for your birthday reservation!

You are treated wonderfully the moment you walk through the door. It puts you in a good mood and ready for a great experience. We tried the Taste of the Islands Platter and the Caribbean Chicken Platter to experience many different dishes. Everything tasted great, with the oxtail being our favorite. It was a great date night and we will return.

Ok so the food was good, no doubt. Service was phenomenal BUT…Very pricy. And took way too long to receive our food. Beautiful setting but definitely not a place to go if you’re dining on a budget. The coco bread alone was $7 and $13 for 6 jerk wings. The goat wasn’t available. Had to wait an hour and a half for it. For 2 people, one entree, 2 drinks, 6 wings, a beef patty and Coco bread our bill was over 150. Just to give you somewhat of an idea.

Had this restaurant on my to-do list for over a year, and I was sorely disappointed. AT was a pleasure to deal with, but unfortunately over promised. Started with a sampler which included coconut bread(very bland), roti(average taste, decent texture), beef patties(meat was very mushy, no flavor), jerk chicken wings (phenomenal taste and texture). Entrees included the jerk chicken(very good), curry chicken(good taste), mac and cheese(probably the worse I've experienced in Tampa), and oxtail (average). Didn't try dessert due to the subpar food. Beautiful decor/ambiance! It's very pricey, though. Small parking lot.

We went here after seeing on TikTok. The food was great but portion size small for the price. Atmosphere on point, the music was perfect. The service was short staffed and the wait was long. we waited almost 1hr for food after being seated. There was only one waiter that may have been the owner, and his little son help bring out food. We saw 2 couples leave because of the wait, however everything else was great.

Went with a group of friends that enjoyed the food. And our service was good. Do think it is overpriced and tipping culture is excessive. Unfortunately I was served a spoiled/rotten coconut ?. I think it's important that they are mindful of that before serving as it can result in poor GI experience. For the price everything needs to be exceptional.

Here’s my review.Number one it is SMALL. Very small inside and tables are very close to each other. There was only 1 server when we arrived which offset the mood because all the patrons were sitting around looking at each other waiting to be served. The menu is false advertisement per se. Majority items on the menu which you have to go online yourself to google were not available as well as the drinks. I cannot knock that the food was GOOD however, certain items on the menu were overpriced on our receipt compared to the menu. If there is a party of 6 or more you cannot split the bill which is understood however. We should not have been charged for a party of 6 when one person was a baby . Drinks are one per serving. A $9 lemonade. No refills $9 sweet tea no refills you might as well drink your spit. Overall I wouldn’t return too over priced. After taxes and service fees we were charged $330 for 3 meal , 4 appetizers and drinks.

I'll get right into the nitty-gritty.The food is exceptional. I mean, it is extremely delicious. Lily's Flowers were so good that I couldn't even take a picture. The service was also wonderful. We had to take off 2 stars though. Mostly for the pricing and the tipping aspect, I'll do my best to break it down. Our bill was over $200, for 2 people. We each got an entree, drink (which may or may not have had alcohol), and an appetizer. I also sorted ordered a side of roti during the meal. Now, there is a mandatory 20% service charge added to the bill, "for the kitchen." Additionally, you are expected to tip the server. However, it seemed that the server tip is calculated off the bill total, including the service charge. I did not realize this until after I left.A few things to note:-The menu is only online-I only noticed 1 item, the roti, was charged more expensive than what the menu said (charged $7.95 rather than $7.00). Again, didn't think about it until after we left.-We were offered a "candle-lit dinner" which just ended up being a small tea light candle, we found it funny-They offer additional "packages" which cost additional-You have to pay to sit in a booth, which is one of the packages.Overall, it was a great experience. If I knew about the tipping and pricing error(s) beforehand it wouldn't have been such a shock. It was a wonderful experience and the food was amazing, just not for $212.00.

The food and the customer service was equally amazing. I’ve ate a lot of places and when I tell you Ya Mon is one of the best experiences I’ve had. The genuine love that was shown is evident in the food and the way you are treated. I sincerely and wholeheartedly recommend this business and am grateful for the opportunity to visit and dine here.

The food was yummy ? the customer service was excellent! Authentic family-style Caribbean restaurant. Perfect ambiance for a date night. Jerk and Curry chicken plates were flavorful and moist. The beef patties were delicious as well as the salad. All six in our party were very pleased.
