Small Mom and Pop place, but welcoming! :) Excellent Gyros and Fries, and prices are good as well! Definitely try this place. Nice and quiet to dine in as well! :)

Quiet little restaurant. Very traditional Greek food. I had the Gyro Omelette for breakfast.

This is the best Greek food I've had since my husbands yaya was alive. GO IN ITS FANTASTIC. we had traditional Greek food and it was home made. Inexpensive and delicious. Please, stop in you won't be disappointed. We're going back several more times. Owner and wife very sweet also.

This place is fantastic. The food and service was excellent! Parking is a challenge, you can park close by with just a very short walk, but the food is well worth it. This place SHOULD be packed with a line out the door. Stop in and give them a try, I know that I WILL go back. I'm looking forward to trying different menu items.

This is a truly special place. Down Athens St, a sweet side street, just off the main tourist crawl, it’s on the right. Maria, the owner serves authentic from made scratch Greek food. We had delicious, hot out of the oven Spinach pie, Patiscio, a generous greek salad, finishing our lunch with Baclava. Oh my. What a find!!! Highly recommended!!! We’ll be back!

Nico and Maria serve wonderful food. Like sitting at your YiaYia's dinner table. Generous portions lovingly prepared. My bf and I love coming here. We bring all of our out of town company. We have followed them to four different restaurants over many years. Everything on the menu is top notch.

They were suppose to be closed. The owner was opening the door and we asked if she were open. She invited us in for breakfast. I had pancakes, they were amazing. My husband and sister had omelets. They were huge, eggs were cooked to perfection. Service was friendly. The prices are very reasonable. Good coffee.

The homemade spinach spanakopita was amazing! Prices are very reasonable. Located off the strip on Athens street at the sponge docks. This town is so fun. You feel like you’re in a foreign land.

On Christmas day we were treated to the most enjoyable hospitality and meal by the generous couple at this restaurant. We selected our own fresh fish which was prepared whole and cooked perfectly. Also served a large crisp salad complete with potato salad, toasted bread and a large basket of fried potatoes. She even gave us two cookies she had baked up. The price was extremely low and the quality of food was as good as could be. They have just moved into a larger building so do turn off the main strip and walk to Athens Star Grill. Lovely people who care about what they serve.

Walked in on a whim, and was blown away. Great service, nice staff and the best gyros in town! We will be back with more people and soon!

Great new place, love the lemon chicken soup & pita bread. The grilled octopus was tender & tasty. The staff is friendly.

My sis and I were doing the Tarpon Springs stroll (and hitting EVERY bakery along the way) and strolled into Athens Star Grill. It is off the main street, but not far. The place was EMPTY, which had me worried. And the restaurant had a huge empty area leading up to an empty glass counter, so I am not sure what that was about. We were greeted right away and seated at a window table, but could have been seated anywhere in the restaurant. A serious ghost town vibe. The booth seats were quite old, maybe on the downhill side of their lifespan. Our order was taken by a lady with such a thick accent, that I had to ask her to repeat herself a couple of times. (That bodes well, right?) The food took a while to come out...maybe it wasn't that long, but I was over-hungry. Both our dishes were delicious! I had the gyro plate, and my sister had the chicken (I forget what it is called) but mine was definitely fantastic and there was a lot of meat! The ingredients were good quality and I forgave the cook for the wait! Later, while we were strolling past other restaurants on the main drag, I saw other gyros with a lot less meat and the prices were higher than what we paid. So take your feet a few extra steps and find this relaxing, delicious option! (and there's a bakery next door with great baklava)

Definitely a mom-and-pop family operation and all the better for it. Service was very slow because the daughter was sick that day. Mom served while dad cooked, and the food was delicious. I had the pork souvlaki sandwich and added a Greek salad, my husband had the lamb gyros with French fries, which were hand-cut. We shared both salad and fries. We are local and will definitely be back. We usually go to the touristy places on Dodecanese but decided to expand our horizons. So glad we did!
