I recently had an unpleasant encounter with an employee named Joe at Mission Cafe & Coffee. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Joe's demeanor was both rude and incredibly creepy, making my visit to the establishment quite uncomfortable.From the moment I approached the counter, Joe exhibited an unwelcoming attitude. His interactions were marked by dismissiveness and impatience, leaving me feeling unwelcome as a customer. However, what truly stood out was Joe's inappropriate behavior, which crossed the line into creepiness. He made inappropriate comments and gestures that made me feel uneasy and unsafe in the cafe.As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, neither of which I received from Joe. His behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable for someone in a customer-facing role. It's disheartening to encounter such behavior in what should be a welcoming environment.In light of my experience with Joe, I would caution others considering visiting Mission Cafe & Coffee. It's essential for businesses to ensure that their employees uphold a standard of professionalism and respect towards all customers. While the kale was fresh and flavorful, a suggestion for improvement would be to lightly rub it with olive oil to soften it and enhance the overall eating experience. Came to get a smoothie from Mission as we walked around Venice to shop. It is a street over from the main shopping block. They had lots of gluten free and vegan bakery items that looked fresh and delicious. I ordered the PBJ & Chia smoothie, it was thick and healthy! I would recommend coming here to get a smoothie on a hot day, they have a lot of indoor seating to escape the heat.

Sadly - seems to have gone way downhill since last spring when we were here! Soup was not hot, barely warm and not impressive, might be the worst avocado I've ever had. Staff is friendly, so sad. It's not what it used to be!
