This was my first time in an Obee's.I wasn't sure if this particular one located on Venice Island was even open as it appeared from the outside to be closed.I tried the door, and it was open, so I walked in.Once inside, the atmosphere wasn't very exciting.It seemed like it wasn't sure what it wanted to be, a bare-bones sit-down eatery or something else. The online ordering lists chili, but when I tried to order it, I was told the online ordering isn't up to date and they don't offer chili and never have, maybe other Obee's did... huh? The link I used is tied to this physical location, so I'm not sure I buy that explanation. Anyway, the Italian sandwiches I got were to go, and it was okay, not great but passable. The point is that I don't have much faith in a place that doesn't even care about it's online ordering even when brought to their attention, and if they don't care about that, what else do they not care about. I don't think I'll be back to this particular Obee's. I may try the other I know of.

Beware of pricing!!! Menu pricing is less than cash register receipts.On last trip to store was charged more than menu pricing for every item. Was not offered any credit or even an apology and the clerks were long term employees.Was told that clerk would report to the owner.. We were the last customers in the store last Friday. I wonder how many customers were overcharged and for how long. The food is good but no excuse for fraud.

What a gem Venice has for subs. Obee's came hifhly recommended after my not so great experience at another sub shop. WOW, inexpensive, a lot of meat, long, soft bread, a lot of vegetables to add to your sub. I have now been twice. I went with the large #3 Italian grinder both times. I highly recommend. Be prepared to wait on line....they are that good. Sorry no pics yet

I have been a regular here for a long time. I think they have the best subs around. The bread is wonderful. Meats are very good! Cookies are really good and good selections of chips friendly staff quick service delivery option is wonderful too. I highly recommend. Also, the prices can’t be beat for the quality that you get! I would say it’s probably my favorite sub shop. Thank you obees!
