Cool little pub on Miracle Mile in Vero with a menu that should have something for everyone. Full bar, good food, and great service. Tuesday's (4 to 7) is $2.99 build your own taco night. The price is right (3 only cost me $9.00) and the ingredients are plentiful and fresh. There's also happy hour prices on adult beverages, which is definitely a plus for me. So when your out and about Vero stop by Chives, you will be glad you did.

Service and atmosphere is good, I really like the kitchen being out in the open. To be completely honest though the food is mediocre. All the meals have great potential, the concept is great but the flavoring is not right. Chili is too sweet, taco bowl taste too sweet and like mayo because the horseradish sauce is weak. Something missing shrimp poboi was missing flavor. Overall I probably won’t eat here again unless they had a menu change, would definitely come for drinks or an evening out though. I would love to come back if the menu was updated.

We ate lunch here this week and it was very underwhelming. Lots of people rave about this place so it’s very possible that we went on an off day. The service was great, they even made us a new burrito because the first one tasted off and the steak was super chewy. Again, they did make it right so I can’t complain there. Everything else was just bland. The guacamole had no flavor, the kids quesadilla looked amazing but the chicken wasn’t seasoned very well and again, just tasted bland. For $40 dollars I expected more. The concept is also incredibly confusing. You can build your own or order from the menu and modify it but the whole process is so awkward. If you have to have an employee thoroughly explain how to order to each customer, maybe it’s time to simplify things.
