Great location right by the water and they try so hard to be upscale with an open kitchen and modern decor. Unfortunately the service is not up to the standard you would expect from the prices. The food was hit and miss. The salmon was a great piece of fish, but the sides were so over seasoned that they weren't enjoyable. Green bean salad was a success. Mixed mushrooms not so much.

Had dinner last evening. Ordered the truffled pasta. It was a $35 plate so you would expect real shaved truffles. The truffles are some fake rendition. The pasta was served tightly twirled so the sauce did not coat all of the pasta. As a former chef, this is something you learn in cooking 101. We just bought a home in Vero and I've tried most of the restaurants and they are very good. However, I will never return to Citrus nor will I recommend it to any friends. Low quality ingredients poorly prepared and very overpriced.

Citrus’s Grillhouse, this was a very rough experience for me and my out of state baseball team looking for a nice post win meal. We had 2 tables because our groups on the larger side. We had waited an hour for our food to come out. After it finally was out, our first table was already finished eating by the time our second table got their food. Plus, we had all ordered the same meal because of the overpriced menu, which was already lacking in selection. After the meal, we had received our bills from our waiter, Robbert. Robbert had charged our entire group $12 for each basket of bread we had ordered. Personally, i have never got charged for bread, especially since the waiter kept insisting on bringing more out. Next, we had all gotten charged $8 for a (rather small) side of risotto, after our waiter had informed us we could substitute any side free of charge. He then proceeded to unequally charge us for the sides of bread and had each of our bills and cards for a long period of time after he had to print out bills, which still ended up to be incorrect. Robert showed no remorse for his fallacies and scammed us out of our money as a teenage baseball team. Citrus Grillhouse, i suggest changing your systems of service and quality in the near future.

Me and my teammates got absolutely scammed at this restaurant. Robert is a dirty man who took advantage of a whole baseball team from out of state who was high on life and high on the victory we got today playing at the local baseball fields. This man brought us our bread at the beginning of the meal and did not warn us that each basket of bread cost 12 dollars. This man Robert is an absolute disgrace to the occupation of food service. Taking advantage of kids is something that is not okay and this man successfully did that. The fact that this man is ok with doing that and did it with a smile on a face makes me and my teammates even more furious. Also, Robert told us that each one of our sides we could substitute for free and boy oh boy where they not free. Don’t come here, the restaurant smells bad and the waiters attitude is bad as well.

Here is the thing, our waiter, Robert, was cheap. I was with my high school baseball team tonight trying to enjoy a post victory meal with the boys, and not only did Robert not tell us about the fact that the bread, which we all assumed was free, actually cost $4 per basket. But also, Robert lied and told everyone that we could substitute our side of fries for free with any pasta of our choice(no extra charge). This added a significant amount of money to our bill and left a distasteful feeling in our mouths as we left the restaurant. It is unacceptable to take advantage of high school boys by tricking them into spending more money on an already extremely expensive menu selection. Robert must be sat down and talked to about this issue and I hope that some other action is taken to ensure this never happens again. On top of all of this, Robert acted strangely. At times he would lurk around our tables and at others he would disappear for long periods of time. Also the food service was poor as one table got their food nearly an hour before the other table and had finished their meal by the time my table received food. Finally, the atmosphere was very loud and it was hard to have conversations with my teammates. Citrus Grill house, I hope you make changes to better your business. And for Robert, you need to seriously reconsider your actions and make a change to better yourself for that was completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

Our waiter was intentionally misleading. We (a high school baseball team from out of state) came in as a group. Our waiter charged us 12 dollars for bread that he led us to believe was free. He also charged us 8 extra dollars for a “free” substitution. If he needed some extra money on the tip, maybe he should have done his job with class rather than scamming a group of high school students. This was a terrible look for your restaurant and the town of Vero beach.

What an experience. Our baseball team was charged $36 for BREAD. And our waiter lied about swapping sides. He said it was free the swap sides and he charges us $8 each. Not only that, our food took forever to come out.DONT COME HERR

We reserved a table for ten weeks in advance. Were seated right next to the open kitchen, where we sat for about an hour and three quarters before our meals arrived. Throughout the entire time we had to listen to an employee shouting about orders to the cooks and wait staff at the top of his lungs. An otherwise noisy restaurant was almost unbearable. The food was good and our waiter polite, but on a scale of one to ten, the ambiance was a zero. Never again.

Food was cold took forever, waitresses were gossiping about another server the entire time (Poor girl), My salmon was cold and barley cooked and tasted very stank, The asian busboy was very aggressive when picking up my dishes and filling my water and talked smack about another waitress with the other workers the entire time, heard much curse words. I will not be returning and my money will not be spent again.?

Always a fun spot--with a tone of perpetual disorganization that isn't necessarily a problem. The Flounder special was delicious. Our waiter had what I'd call apprentice level skills--very young, a bit impulsive, appearing mildly irritated in his demeanor; and needing some advice about how to be attentive & conversational instead of brusque and at times unintelligible in a noisy room. Did not see him again once we got the entrees until we dragged him back into the mix for water refills. For the prices on the menu, you'd expect wait staff with a high degree of social awareness and graciousness, not skills at a novice level. Overall, a fun bistro and watering hole, but be ready to be flexible about getting things at your table when you want them.Parking: Limited parking

This restaurant has the most amazing food in Vero Beach. While it may take a while for your food to arrive, everything was cooked perfectly and super flavorful. The pasta was so well done and the service matched the food quality. I would highly recommend Citrus to everyone but make sure you book early because it’s very popular.

Didn't have a reservation but they sat us instantly, would recommend reservation for better table placement, otherwise, Tom our server did a fantastic job. We recommend the veal flank steak but ask for the truffle pasta as the side. For app get the small order of truffle fries. The truffle in any dish is not over powering, I will visit again and would recommend to anyone.

We arrived for our special occasion dinner 30 min early and were seated after being told outside patio was full - but when we were seated I could see 2 cleaned/ empty tables. Our server who was excellent announced that they were out of almost everything on the menu!! Food was average at best!
