Pasta no better than canned Chef Boyardee. Yes, it was that bad.Service was nonexistent. Never did bring the bread we asked for a half dozen times.Must have been some high drama in the kitchen, how else to explain the loud F-bombs we heard during our meal?Absolutely terrible.

Honestly, what a disappointment. We visited this place because I saw other people’s reviews, but my guess is that there are no other solid options in Vero Beach for Italian restaurants. Pastas were unseasoned and tasteless, too bad because some ingredients seemed fresh, they still charged us for the food even though we returned the plates back full to the server. Bread was good.

The interior dining is very small with minimal ambiance. Literally tables bordering the front door and hostess stand. Outside a bit nicer. The food was good. The Alfredo sauce was outstanding. The marinara sauce was a bit bland and watery. Pasta was cooked great, pesto was tasty and the eggplant was perfectly tender. Chicken in the dishes was a bit underdone. But overall tasty. The service wasn’t great. Not rude but also not friendly. Little attention to details, dishes sat on the table and had to wait for needed services.

Service was ok. Bruschetta and penne was delicious, however carbonara sauce was split with scrambled egg in it. Server didn’t really appear to get what I was saying when I said the sauce was split. Didn’t push it…no big deal but was a little disappointed.

Have heard alot about Francesca's from from several different sources. Decided on a date for Friday night. Easy to get reservations 2 days before online. Small inside but very quaint. Wine was excellent, service quick and polite/friendly, and food was on point. Under $100 for two entrees and salad with 3 drinks.

There were two waitresses running the entire area. We must've asked for a bread basket four times before she finally brought it. In fact, the salads came out first. The tortellini was the best dish. The sausage and pepper penny. Pasta was saturated in oil, and the lasagna was mediocre at last. Overall frustrating experience and might be why we gave low marks.

Bruschetta starter nice. Pesto Penne pasta entre was just ok; some more seasoning would have been nice for my taste. Was advised that I would charged an extra $8 when I asked to add some olives and tomatoes to my dish- seemed excessive. Also, chef had the server make it clear to me (twice) that if I didn't like the dish with the olives and tomatoes added to it, I would still have to pay for it. Found this pretty strange. My husbands shrimp carbonara was not good - good quality shrimp but the sauce had split so there was various bits floating around the dish. He didn't eat it. We were not looking for a refund or anything but when we mentioned this to the poor server I don't think he realized what we meant. Only two servers serving every table in a full restaurant so the attention to detail just wasn't there for us. Sadly- won't be back.

Will never go back. Was there last night for second time. Food is good, interior dining room is small and cafeteria like. Issue that arose was over a $10 glass of Chianti. Only 2 red Italians available by glass, the other was $11. I normally order a bottle but wife wasn't drinking wine last night so forced to order a glass. Wine came and I smelled and then took a taste - it smelled like alcohol/vinegar. Waited a bit and took another taste, same as before. My wife returned to table and I said, this wine is not good. She said, yeah, I can smell it from here. I sent wine back saying it didn't taste good and I couldn't drink it. When bill came, the wine was on the bill. I asked server to take it off the bill and she said no- just because you don't like it doesn't mean you don't have to pay for it. I said it wasn't good enough to drink. She replied that it was a new bottle. Newsflash, new bottles can be bad too! I can't believe the restaurant policy would risk losing a customer over a glass of wine that cost them probably $2. It not like I drank a portion of the wine and was trying to to get a free half glass. Two tiny sips. If it was a cheap wine then shame on the restaurant for offering cheap wine. I normally pay more for a glass but, as I said before, they only offered lower priced Italian wines by glass. Arrivederci Francescas.

While the service and food were good, I was not too pleased by the authenticity and quality for the price. If you have been to Italy, the menu doesn’t live up to their authentic cultural counterparts. While I understand Americans enjoy things like “cheesy bread,” it’s not worth the $20 for pizza dough with mozzarella; you’re better off at Domino’s for that. Some of the dishes we had were a bit too salty (the veal parm), and the cream sauce penne was a practically a bowl of heavy cream with pasta. Yes, you’ll likely enjoy your meal, but don’t expect Nona level.

A disappointing experience.I made a reservation using Opentable. After checking a few times I found a table “available” at 2:45 for a late lunch. When we arrived we were ushered to the worst table in the house in the farthest back corner of the restaurant located across from the door to the kitchen. There was no one else at any table in the restaurant. I assumed we must have been lucky to get the table and the place would fill up soon. The food was generally mediocre. One person enjoyed his meal, two of us said our meals were only okay and one meal was practically inedible. The “bad” meal was veal parmigiana which was tough and unappetizing . We told the waitress the meat was tough and she went into the kitchen and came back to tell us the chef said it must have a “nerve” running through it. At that point, we assumed he was going to give us another meal but it never came out. By the time three of us were done eating my husband said he had lost his appetite looking for an edible corner of the veal. We were done and asked for the check. There was no compensation for the meal. We paid our bill in full and left with a bad taste in our mouth. When we left the restaurant only one other table indoors had two people at it and a few of the outdoor tables had guests.I would not eat there again and couldn't recommend it to anyone.

Very disappointing experience tonight due to the owner/chef — after a positive experience a week ago. Last week, ordered a dish and asked for chicken breast instead of chicken thigh that it came with. No problem at all. Tonight, asked for the same. Dish came out prepared incorrectly. Server took it back and the owner would not budge — said that is the way it is made (obviously not true based on a week ago). Having read other negative Open Table comments about the owner, we are disappointed for his staff, especially our waitress, who was excellent. We will not return.
