My wife and I have dinner before the concert at CCVB. The most amazing thing about this place is the service provided by our waiter KEVIN. We ate out a lot and KEVIN is the best waiter we ever had. Thank you KEVIN!!!

We ALWAYS stop at the Oar while in Vero. Our recent visit was disappointing and frustrating. The kitchen must have some sort of issue as the duration of time between our appetizer and entree was nearly an hour. A large party seated after us was served with us. It was my wife's birthday and we were late meeting family.

This was our first time here and it will definitely not be our last. We love the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. The hostess and wait staff were all professional and friendly. Our waiter took extra time to explain dishes and answered any questions we had. Our meals were fantastic with all fresh mainly local ingredients! We finished off our meal with a couple fabulous made in house desserts! We couldn't have asked for a better meal. Can't wait to return to see what's on the menu!!

Just wow, amazing service, vibe, and food. The pork chop is a must try. I couldn't believe how good it was. Definitely stop by here for dinner if you are in the area.

Dined in last week, ordered the waygu sirloin and so did at least 7 out 15 other people in our party. When ordered, we were informed they ran out of waygu sirloin and that it would be waygu NY strip instead. While waiting for dinner I received creamy mushroom soup, it was extremely undersalted and fairly bland. The bread for the table was good, but not great. Dinner arrives, and what we get is a steak that has almost no crust/color, the fat is not rendered and is hard and chewy, and it literally tasted like it had been cook in Canola oil with ZERO seasoning. Absolutely no salt, no pepper, chewy, and 100% not waygu and not even prime. It was so bad that multiple people in our party didn't want to finish it. I just don't understand why a restaurant like this thinks this meal was acceptable, I've eaten alot of good steaks and this genuinely was the worst I've ever had. They didn't season any of the food that came out and when I say the steak had no seasoning, I mean it! Nothing! It tasted like irony Canola oil, exact flavor. I wish them luck but they seriously need to take a look at their chef, they lost 15 new customers that night directly due to the food. The service wasn't horrible but the some waiters were unprofessional and improper. Atmosphere was nothing special, good location... Horrible steak, mediocre food.

We started with the honey truffle bread and it was a great start to our meal. The grilled octopus was delicious and the tomato bisque soup with goat cheese was wonderful. For our main courses we had the scallops which were outstanding, and the homemade pasta with clams, shrimp and crab was so so good. For dessert, we had the bread pudding which was really nice. Our waiter Jeremy was friendly, knowledgeable and just the perfect amount of attentiveness. All in all a wonderful culinary experience.

This is the fourth or fifth time we’ve been to The Oar and the food just keeps getting better. I had the escargot appetizer and the duck with charred brussels sprouts as an entrée. My wife had spiced pumpkin soup and the pork chop. All were superb. They have a nice, somewhat reasonably priced wine list, and the service was very good. The Oar is certainly worth a trip into downtown old Vero Beach!Parking: Plenty of convenient parking very nearby

We dined at The Oar last night for our anniversary. If I could give them 10 Stars I would. The food, atmosphere, and service was outstanding. Be sure to ask for BG for your server and listen to his recommendations. We knew BG from the old Vero Prime. He is the best!!!!!

The Oar is right next to Hair Identity, the Salon where my wife works. While we don't dine here often, we (Melissa and I) love it when we do! The menu is filled with savory dishes and boast quite a variety of foods.During our last visit, I had the seared pork chops - Melissa enjoyed one of the Chef's specials for the evening. Both dishes were excellent! The desserts are a highlight as well with the Creme Brulee being a favorite! If you are looking for an intimate fine-dining experience in Vero Beach, I highly recommend The Oar!
