This was our first time there. Friends of ours recommended it and we met them there. Bartender (Christine or Chrissy) insisted my husband had 5 Stella’s. He did not. I had 3 drinks and so did my husband. It wasn’t worth arguing with her in front of friends. We drank together and ordered together. We paid the bill and still tipped 20% but will never go back again. You lost good paying customers who live full time in Vero. Padding checks is not the way to stay in business or keep a good reputation,

I did not think I'd have to ask how much for a beer when I walked into a bar, but I guess I should. $9 for a draft beer!!! Same IPA I had at other local places for $5. It's a local bar nothing exceptional about it except for very expensive beer.

Good tavern-style place, a lot of baseball memorabilia around. Stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon for a couple beers. Prompt and polite service. Didn't order food but they had some free snacks out, including small bags of chips and a crock pot of cheese dip & tortilla chips available after a while, very tasty. Good place for a quiet beer, hike to try the food sometime.

We had a group there from Fairlane Harbor and we had several chairs at the bar and this couple arrives and the woman decided to take one of our chairs for them and the gentleman sitting in that chair went to the bathroom and this lady who thought she owned that chair started calling our group names. The owner agreed with this couple because they had money and were well know to be rich that they should have the chairNow there was plenty of room for them to sit together elsewhere.Well I can guarantee that we or any one else from our Community will never set foot in there againI will not recommend What A Tavern to anyone in Vero Beach.

We arrived when they opened. It was a nice place to visit with friends. We didn’t get food.Vegetarian options: Grilled cheese was the only vegetarian option I noticed. Seem pretty typical for Vero.

The bar was very clean and nice. Our Maserati broke down and was taken there for a drink or 2. It was only one. Susan needs to work on her people skills. Not a welcoming atmosphere
Great place to watch the game and have adult beverages. Friendly bartenders and pool tables add to the ambiance. Reminds me of the TV show cmCheers where everybody knows your name.

What A Tavern is a great sports bar with televisions hung up around the central bar. They also have 2 side rooms with a few 6ft pool tables and Touch Tunes jukebox. The selection of beers and liquor is pretty standard for the area as well as the prices. What A Tavern is a good spot to drop in to watch the game or just kill an evening with friends.
