We had the best dinner for 4 at Village Market this evening. All of food was some of the best we have had in this area with good sized portions. Until this evening, we had been rather unimpressed for the most part with small portions and lackluster meals on 30A this visit. Leisha was one of the best servers we have had in a very long time! Coming from foodies that are hard to please and rarely write reviews, this review is warranted. If you visit here, get the hushpuppies for an appetizer, and don't leave without having the banana pudding cheesecake or the key lime pie...the gourmet grouper over a sweet potato hash sandwiched in between, made for a great evening.

Our first time in and we are already planning our next visit! Beautiful restaurant, friendly and fun service team and superb food! Our server Christa was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive and made our evening delightful. We started with a mango margarita and the amazing sticky chicken thigh appetizer for dinner we enjoyed the seared tuna over Asian slaw salad and the delectable grilled grouper with accompaniments of collard greens, pea salad and hush puppies. One of the best dining experiences we have had since moving here four months ago. Food presentation was stunning and the taste familiarly comforting but with packing an exceptional flavor punch! We look forward to our next visit. Especially enjoyed the TVs we’re not showing a show, but set to scenery pictures- if I want to watch TV when I go out I’d go to a sports bar! Enjoyed the visit and meeting the manager Teesha as well. Thanks for an awesome evening!

We had a family dinner, party of 10 last Friday night. We were looking for something reasonably priced that also took reservations as waiting with kids is sometimes a LOT. Watersound Village Market checked all the boxes. When we arrived the hostesses were very welcoming and we were seated right away.We tried the Sticky Asian Chicken Thighs, Smoked Tuna Dip & the Ahi Tuna Tostados to start. All the apps were delicious, the rice that came with the chicken thighs was very well liked all around.George the 3rd, white sangria, red wine and a crown & coke were ordered from the bar. My husband especially enjoyed the George the 3rd and my white sangria was also very good.As a large party we pretty much hit all the entree categories from burgers to salad to fish. Everyone in my family enjoyed their food. It was all well prepared & tasty. Our server was very attentive and friendly and you could tell it was important to her that we had a great experience. The restaurant is bright, airy and clean. My in-laws are local and they said Watersound Village Market will now be on their list of go-to restaurants. For those with Food restrictions, this restaurant is very allergen friendly. The menu is clearly marked and the servers are knowledgeable about the food & can competently answer questions. For those who are GF - I tried the Smashburger with the GF bun and the bun was very good!Constructive Criticisms:*Noise Control - it could have been the small alcove where our table was located but sometimes it was difficult to hear the person sitting across the table.* This next one is coming from someone who is gluten-free but also enjoys Asian cuisine and wishes all restaurants would do this! Just use Tamari, instead of soy sauce. It's a simple swap, it tastes better than soy sauce and the soy sauce is usually what makes asian dishes non-GF. A simple substitute opens up a lot of your menu for those who are GF.Dietary restrictions: For those with Food restrictions, this restaurant is very allergenand alternative diet friendly. The menu is clearly marked and the servers are knowledgeable about the food & can competently answer questions.

We had a great late lunch here. The indoor space is light and airy with a nice casual feel. The food and drinks are excellent. We had a George the Third (Bourbon cocktail) and beers (all from a can/bottle) with our lunch of a grilled grouper sandwich and fried green tomato poboy. As one would expect for something that's related to Surfing Deer, both were prepared perfectly. The sandwiches each come with a side. Grits and greens, pea and bacon salad are excellent. It looks like the outdoor patio is dog friendly but we didn't bring our dog because of the weather that day.

The restaurant is nice, service was great, and the food was good. We had grouper sandwich was perfect, cheeseburger (left a little to be desired), and the fish with Asian slaw which was very satisfying. The desserts we not that great (2 for $20). We will be back.

Filet w/ Bacon Jam was one of the most tender steaks I've had (ordered blue rare, came out a touch closer to rare, but still perfect). The Collards were on point. Everything was exceptional. Sweet & Spicy Ahi Tuna was full of flavor (especially the crunchy Asian slaw), mildly spicy, so don't be intimidated by the title. We will be back next time we visit the area.

We ate at Village Market last night with our six young grandchildren and our sons and their wives. Service was amazing! Food was great. We tried the crispy chicken thighs, the corn chowder, the grouper sandwich and the crab cake sandwich. The kids ate fried shrimp and grouper bites. It was all hot and fresh and delicious. Village market is relatively new. It’s convenient, has great space indoors and outdoors. Family friendly.

I had a few beers while waiting on a to go order. The food was great but the atmosphere was blah (not music, just forks clanking and awkward silence). The outdoor patio seemed really cool, I’d recommend sitting there! The guy took my to go order, then 20 minutes later realized he never put in and could not even remember what I’d ordered. I was literally 1 or 2 people at the bar. I’ll be back but only for the food!

Too expensive and their burger sucked. Can find better at cheaper prices. Service was ok.

Visited Village Market for my mom's 70th birthday, as per her request. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. Our server was very kind and helpful and went above and beyond to make our visit special. There aren't a ton of vegetarian options, and it seems like the kids menu is pretty much an adult menu (portion size and prices). The online menu includes certain items that their physical menu doesn't, which had to be verified by our server. Note that if you pay by CC, there's a fee!
