There are some flavorful selections here. But pretty disappointed with the small portions and higher prices. Had an octopus salad for 7$ which included two marble sized octopi and that was it! Also was charged 5$ for an extremely small portion of bean sprouts which I asked kindly for some more because in the dinner entrees they give you a spoon full amount. Won’t come again.

I've been coming to Bonsai for well over 20 years! Even before they moved to Wesley Chapel, and I've never had a complaint. The freshest and best sushi I've ever had hands down. I've had sushi all over the US and nothing tops this place!

Every time I visit my friends and family for the holidays, we go to Bonsai. The sushi is absolutely delicious, the service is always attentive and lovely, and the ambiance is perfect. It has been around for years, and there is a reason why. Always highly recommend. Best sushi in WC, IMO.

This spot is a gem! We always receive excellent service, superb food & the portions are outstanding. We’ve been coming here for a couple of years & they never disappoint. Tonight was no exception. I wish we knew our server’s name. She was a ray of sunshine. We never lacked for anything. We had a nice date night with a variety of stuff. We each had green tea, miso soup & salad w/ ginger sauce. We shared the tempura app which includes shrimp & veggies. And then we ordered a variety of nigiri sushi. In the past, we have tried many things from their menu including hibachi entrees from the kitchen. They are consistent here offering exceptional fresh proteins, veggies, delicious rice & noodles. Definitely go here if you love sushi & all things tasty in a comfy cozy environment. Sorry no photos lol. We chowed down.
We visited on weekend night, and the restaurant was not too crowded. Overall, it was a good experience, but I do not have any exceptional comments. The sushi is good and the atmosphere is as well. I would visit again if it was the only sushi restaurant here, but there are other better restaurants in the area.
Bonsai always has the BEST Sushi in Wesley Chapel. We absolutely love it and have been coming here for years.
