I went into Double Branch on a trip back from Clearwater, largely based on the reviews at the time. Was greatly disappointed. I was the only client on a Sunday, which did not bode well. At the time, I was told they did not have food, which was disappointing, but I am not reviewing based on that (website still shows food - ah, let me get back to that). I guess a bit of a story is probably in order here. Apparently Double Branch was a brewery that was sold out to new owners. The owners got rid of the restaurant to work with a franchisee to supply food and focus on the beer. To accomplish this, they decided to save money and build the walls themselves, but did not realize you need a permit to do construction. At the time I was there, they were trying to figure a way to get the work approved without any permits or fines. It was not going well. Thus, the website is now either talking about food they have after completing the process or they simply do not update their website. I woudl call if I cared enough to go back. I don't. The shining light was the bartender that day. I would imagine she is gone now as she was not making enough money, even with my generous tip, to make it worth the trip. If they don't do something, I imagine they will be out of business soon. At least I got a review in?

The place was empty when we got there. Heard some really amazing things about the place. The beer did not disappoint. But something about the service and atmosphere did not sit right with us. Nobody was rude. It was all very melancholic and we could not understand why.

This place used to be awesome! Not sure what happened. I believe it is under new ownership/management. Could be the issue. No more food served. Kids used to love playing the arcade games, and pinball machines but those are gone. Talked to the staff that worked there prior to the switch and they just seemed unhappy about it. I'd be surprised if this places lasts. Good beer, but won't inspire me to go back.

Don't waste your time here. Zero atmosphere, no food, small handful of their own beers but mostly guest taps. One customer when we arrived. Not long for this world, in my opinion. Better bet is Florida Avenue Brewing right down the road.

I have driven down to the brewery on separate occasions after checking their hours of operation online and they’re closed! Come on management, do your job and update google!

We came here because the website showed there was trivia. When we arrived, we asked the girl working, and she clearly had no idea what I was talking about. It would be great if the website was updated.The girl working truly looks like she hates her job. She was not friendly and not helpful at all. We had one beer, and my bf took the glasses up to order another round, but before he could say anything, she asked if we were done. I don't recall seeing her smile or be pleasant to a single customer.Can't say we'll be rushing to return, but the beer was good.

I used to really like Double Branch, both the beer and the food--but it seems like they've just lost the plot recently.Throughout the last year (the first half of 2023), their food menu became sharply reduced, then disappeared entirely. They've literally walled off the space where the kitchen used to be. The new wall is completely bare, which just makes the brewery feel that much more like a warehouse. This is bad enough, because they had great food.But you come to a brewery for beer, right? Well, the last three times I've been in, the beer just...wasn't very good. I don't know what's going on, but these are regular IPAs that, at least in two cases (Need a Minute and Rye Speed Low Drag), I know I've had here before and can recognize the flavors are off. I had it again on visit three with the Hazy Florida Morning. There's an underlying unpleasant funk. Is the beer just not fresh? Do the tap lines need cleaning? Whatever it is, it's turning what used to be a sublime experience into a subpar one.If they open a kitchen again, or just start getting in more customers and turning over enough beer that it's more guaranteed to be fresh, I'll probably check back in. Otherwise, they've had three strikes in a row with me.

Excellent craft beer. Lots of room. Walkable from the TJMax etc. Different size glasses so your not stuck with a 16 oz.
Too bad the food place shut down but the coldest beer weve had in a while! And all so delicious!

Beer is really good here... but was really taken back when we walked in and they closed off the side that had the large tables, games, and food. They no longer have the food here. You can bring outside food in though. Just kinda bummed.

Nice selection of beers and ales. Tons of sours. I’m a big fan of the Wu-Tang sour in particular. Good spot overall.

Visited this weekend and was very disappointed. The server had no idea what in the world she was doing. There was just one other couple there besides, my husband and I and another couple that was with us. Took us forever to get served and mixed up our bills. Before we had left, we had looked up the menu and we were kind of excited to have some good food,, but when we got there, the restaurant that was adjacent to the brewery was no longer there and the wall was blocked off. Double branch is just very sterile and very uninviting and the beer was nasty. I will be surprised if they’re still in business a year from now. Will not be going back. It says double Branch, Brewing, and Bites, but the food is gone. They need to update their website and their Facebook page.

5.18.23 OMG, no more Food, no more game room, sure its quiet now but gOOd grief I am worried aboit them and theircontinuance....the beer selection today is impossible to find any IPA worth drinking much less Paying for.RoOting főr you DBŁ BRANCH!Great selection of beers and for IPA on draft and 2 of those 4 were phenomenal!
