Absolutely the best oxtail I ever had. When they’re closed and want to see if any other place comes even close I end up having to recook the oxtail for hours or not even eat it.. they set the standard of flavor and texture at an unbeatable level. I crave their oxtails atleast once a week& I don’t just eat any flavored food. I never liked oxtail before I tried theirs. Outstanding cooking skills from the bottom of my heart bless your hands. When I eat their oxtail I rave about it to my clients & friends for days I’m obsessed. Work of art in food. I’m so grateful I came across such delicious Jamaican food.

When a woman I just met at the airport recommended a Jamaican Food Truck I didn’t hesitate as food trucks are a big thing in NY. The food is amazing so fresh, seasoned well, cooked to perfection, served with love and a smile. The prices are right and the portions are great as well. Before jumping a flight to Boston we stopped and asked Chef Rick to make for us his choice for lunch. Pulled pork served on a bed of rice and beans, topped with cabbage perfectly prepared! AMAZING food.!Rich and JanSee you again Ricky!

Food was authentic and delicious! We tried the oxtail which was very tender and the j*** chicken, also tender and mouthwatering.Both dishes were flavorful and a great value for the cost! We enjoyed everything so much we started planning our next visit before we finished dinner!!!!

I'm very torn writing this review, if I could I'd officially rate my experience as a 3.5, but alas.My first experience at Houte's was earlier this summer, I stopped by to pick up the j*** chicken lunch special. The chicken was great and the portions were "healthy" for $10.... 5-Star trip.Today I stopped by to try out the oxtail lunch combo, the flavors and smells were phenomenal, but it's the least tender oxtail I've ever had. I'm used to fall off the bone, and this required some considerable effort to get the meat off the bone.Service wise it's a good truck, so it's standard. But there is an semi-covered outdoor dining area if you'd like to stay and eat, though I'm not sure if they offer table service in those circumstances.
