I came to see what the hype was all about as I follow the foodie forum. I came to check out this Winter Garden bakery at 9am and was delighted. They post what is available on their Facebook page. You get there, call the store to place your order and u stay in your car and they bring it out to u. The items were delicious. Chocolate chip and bavarian creme twist is life. Buns with sugar on top aka brioche yess. No one can say no to cinnamon buns that taste like croissants. Love it all!! The cars kept on coming and it was only 9am. Come early if u want the bavarian creme twists--those sell fast. Also enjoyed the orange creme pound cake-soft and flakey. Will definitely be back!

I have been shopping the Bake Sales at DF Bakery (Douce France Bakery) in Winter Garden since they opened up for retail customers since April 25. Their breads and pastries are the real thing in French baking! Today I bought a Baguette, a whole grain bread, Chocolate Croissants and their blueberry muffin bread. Last week I bought a baguette, sourdough loaf, a Brookie cookie and two Nom Nom Chocolate Chip cookies. Previously I have also tried their almond croissants, and their fruit danishes. Everything is spectacularly delicious. Besides eating the breads as is or toasted with butter or cheese, I have also made the most amazing croutons using the DF Bakery baguette and Chef Johns crouton recipe on the Allrecipes dot com website. The sourdough bread used for grilled cheese is out of this world delicious, and I'm trying not to be too sad that we ordered whole grain bread by mistake instead of sour dough this week. Well, judging by the way the whole grain bread looks I am sure I will love it too. Honestly, you can't get anything fresher than this without actually being in France, so I hope anyone reading this will go there on a Saturday morning bright and early and give them a try.
