Tempo used to be a favorite spot in downtown, no longer. The menu has drastically changed, none of the familiar faces are left. The service unfortunately is terrible. My wife ordered chicken and waffles from the new brunch menu. No waffles served with French toast and no chicken!! Basically she was served scrambled eggs and bacon, but some chicken fingers did come out 10 minutes later. Ordering a cocktail is impossible they have almost no alcohol to serve. Sitting outside I had to go inside and scan to see what was available to make a drink with.

Nice atmosphere but poor service

Honestly, I loved it. My bf & I found this place online and wanted to visit due to bottomless mimosas & just the whole vintage look but we miss read and didn’t realize mimosas is only on weekends. That wasn’t no biggie. We ordered drinks and beer cheese pretzels & chilled for a bit before eating. My entree was the drunken chicken & the chicken was so delicious and that mango salsa added a nice touch to it. Our server was very kind and attentive. I recommend!

Extremely slow service and other patrons so loud we had to yell to be heard by the friend next to me. Server refused our request to ask them to tone it down.

Paid 17.00 for a BLT that the bacon was overcooked with about 5 fries! The server was very attentive and friendly my wife got a burger salad and was disappointed in it also! Long story short it was our first time here and I promise it was our last!

Love the ambiance here and I'm excited to see where the new owner wants to take things in the future. The history behind the building is awesome. Back porch is open air and allows dogs.Food is also very good and the new owner sat and talked with us for a while. Will be making this a staple!

I was really excited to come here and meet up with my girlfriends because it looked so cute online but it soon became an awkward episode of bar rescue. There was no hostess stand so I stood there for awhile before a woman acknowledged me who seemed confused by me being in the restaurant and I had to walk to my own table but that’s the whatever part.I arrived before my friends and ordered a drink. No one came to see if I needed anything else while I waited for my two friends to arrive. When they finally did arrive it took forever for the waitress/ bartender to come over and get a drink order for them. All they wanted was wine and water with lemons. The wine took forever to come to the table and the water came without lemons. Then it took again awhile before the waitress/ bartender came back to ask about what food we wanted to order. When she came over, she had a used food bowl in her hand and sat at the empty chair at our table and placed the used food bowl on the floor, just not very professional mannerisms. Another young woman brought our food to the table, and no napkins or silverware was given to us. I had to ask for it. The food was ok for the price and the steamed veggies were seriously a frozen veggie melody blend that you would find at Publix. We couldn’t figure if our waitress was the hostess, bartender, waitress, cook, and owner too, she seemed stressed, awkward, and delivered bad service. Then we stayed to talk after dinner. At 10:15 a young man came into the patio area and started sweeping and another man turned the lights off on us. Now we were sitting in the dark, confused because they closed at 11pm and not 10:15pm (which the door says 11pm). As we walked out in the dark trying to not trip into anything I thanked the young man for turning off the lights on us and he replied back with “thank you.”I’ve had better dining experiences sitting inside a McDonalds.

My husband and I went there expecting a wonderful meal last night in an atmosphere of that played jazz as it is advertised on the Internet. It just so happens the Octoberfest was happening directly across the street so I think they had more business than they could handle. Our server came and took our drink and food orders but after delivering our drinks she never came to our table again. After an hour and 3 different servers came to our table to ask how we were doing, our response was we had yet to receive our meal...they disappeared and did not return either. So we sat there for close to 90 minutes before we finally decided to talk with the bartender. Told him we had been waiting over 90 minutes for our food and people had come out to check on us but have not heard a word and we just wanted to leave at that point because we were hungry and we needed to go. So the only good thing about all this was the atmosphere and the fact that we had our drinks on the house. We were never given an explanation by any of the staff as to when the food was coming or whether it was even being cooked. They would go back to check on things and never return to our table. We do want to go back again and give them another chance. We'll wait until an evening when there are not a lot of things going on.. I just don't think they could handle things that night and I sure hope they can in the future because they have so much to offer the community.

Every time I’ve gone back it’s steadily getting worse, which sucks because this used to be my go to spot in winter haven. They’re closed Sunday, so they never order enough to get them through Saturday. They’re constantly out of things. Last time we were there it took an hour to get a drink.

This place has a sign stating permanently closed. Loved their food, brunch, drinks and atmosphere

I've waited a few weeks to write a review because I wanted to see if distance tempered my opinion. That said, I can't recommend this place at all. A friend chose where we were going and I held my tongue not to offend, but the place was disgustingly dirty. I put my napkin along the edge of the table to stop my arms from sticking to it. The food was so bad I only ate 2 bites of each of the two dishes I got. Service was questionable. I seriously have nothing positive to say other than my friend is a wonderful human and gorgeous and I always enjoy our time together.

Is this place open? My husband and I went there recently and it was closed but we didn’t see a note or anything. Another couple was standing outside too and wondered the same thing.
