Friday 3/22Upon entering the restaurant for dinner, we were immediately hit with the pungent stench of fish (while they have fish and chips on the menu, this is not a seafood restaurant). The restaurant itself was roughly at 30% capacity; not a great sign for a “tavern” on a Friday night around 8:45, especially in that location where just across the street, the other restaurants were at capacity. Our waiter, who I should point out was very friendly, told me that of their roughly eight beers on tap, they were out of three or four of them. Again, how is a “tavern” out of any alcohol whatsoever at that time on a Friday night, but I digress. Per our waiter’s suggestions, we ordered the buffalo chicken dip as a starter, and a park ave burger, fries and the cauliflower pasta with chicken as our mains. The buffalo chicken dip was fine, but to be sloppily doused in hot sauce upon being served is odd and unnecessary; and there was a large piece of hair baked into it as well which is always off putting. The burger and fries came out about 10 minutes before my girlfriend’s pasta (we ordered them at the same time), and even then, both the burger and fries were room temp. Unacceptable for a $7 a la cart side of fries. As for the pasta, it tasted good until you got through the top layer which revealed a butter and oil soup that filled the bowl to at least halfway. Everything was so soaked with this buttery oily mixture that it was hard to eat. All of this after tip was well over $100 and suffice to say we will not be coming back. This is our third time trying this restaurant and every new visit has been a little bit worse than the last. I do hope they improve because the location deserves it.

Really good menu, and the food tasted even better. Mahi Mahi was perfect, but the Pumkin pie tasted like it was straight out of a Sysco Foods truck. Steer clear of that desert for the money.NOTE: If this review has helped you in any way, PLEASE like this review so it can be elevated faster for this restaurant to be informed of how well that they are doing!
