Cute little mom n pop shop. The food was good. The service left much to be desired. The wait staff were not friendly, and they ignored guests if they didn't directly serve you. If you needed something in between the three times your waiter came to your table, you were out of luck. None of them paid attention to customers. No one checked to verify our table was good after delivering our food. We waited forever for our check and then even longer for the staff to pick up the check. The service was quite disappointing. I understand having a bad day. But the entire staff acted this way. So, the issue was deeper than one individual. This place needs a serious leadership overhaul.The food was good, nothing amazing. The portion size was good for the price. Flavors were good. Sadly, we won't be back because service is an important aspect of making a restaurant a success, and I prefer to support businesses that want customers to feel appreciated.

New England whole belly fried clams are one of my favorites and the chowder house has them.Im from belfast maine.

Sooo disappointed!!!! Took my mom for her bday lunch because it’s one of her favorite places on her bday. Extremely disappointed.. We had 3 people and all of us were upset about our food. They were out of any potato products except for frozen fries and out of salmon. I couldn’t eat the lobster bisque or my shrimp Alfredo. We were there from 11:30-12:30 and we were the only people in the restaurant the entire time. The server was so sweet and seemed genuine but because no manager was there she wasn’t able to do anything about our food. I requested a discount and was able to get 10% off of $75 worth of nasty food. Unfortunately we will not be going back to what used to be one of our favorites. I just feel terrible for the server! I believe her name was jasmine. She was great!

Went there today. They didn't unlock the doors. We waited for 10 minutes. If you can't open on time please put a sign up for your customers. Fresh Catch is a great alternative.
