Volcano is one of our favorite places to eat as a family. It is always fun, with great food, and great people.Kid-friendliness: The cooks love entertaining the kids. Our kids love the fun and watching the food get made.
WORST RESTAURANT EVER. The waiter was AWFUL even came running out to my car because she wanted a $30 tip when she should be grateful I left her $10. Only came one time to the table and on top of that I placed an order for an appetizer that she never brought to the table and even charged it on my bill . FYI it’s the Chinese lady with red hair and some long nails. IF YOU HAVE THIS WAITER WARNING ASK FOR ANOTHER WAITER SHE HAS A BAD ATTITUDE AND IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

It's not as intimate as somewhere like Atami, but the food is good, service was great, and our Chef "Bubba" made my 4 year old laugh multiple times, even after being scared by the fire.TL;DR Good food, good service.

After hearing so many praises from coworkers, i finally made my first visit to Volcano. My food selection was moderate at best. Steamed pork gyoza that was barely thawed, generous cuts of fish on the nigiri however underwhelming flavor, and subtle ginger dressing on the salad where I expected more bold taste.Service was slow at first but I think they sat 5 tables within 1 minute.If I go back I will try hibachi menu to see if they can cook better than the raw sushi side of the house.
Management needs to train their staff better on how to seat tables. I brought our family for a dinner and they sat us at a table with another couple. The waiter came out immediately needing to know our orders when we haven’t even had our kids or ourselves sat and reviewed the menu yet. I asked for 2 min to review and he said no, the other couple had already been waiting for 20 minutes. I asked again and he said no.That’s totally not our problem at all, sit us at a different table then. We picked our family up and left. Terrible service and poorly run.
