The food was ok. There is only one Church's chicken in Albany, and it could use an update. I ordered the 3 piece white spicy and the spicy rice. The chicken was not the fresh out of the fryer like we all love so much, but it was spicy and crispy. If I had to guess, I'd say that it had been sitting under the heat lamp for about 20 minutes. I managed to get about two pieces down before tapping out to the spice. The third piece was warmed up in an air fryer 2 days later. As for the spicy rice, it had a distinct tin or copper flavor that I just didn't like. I am assuming that it is made from ground chicken livers and gizzards, but either way, I would not buy it again. The biscuit was also a disappointment since it was old and hard. The restaurant appeared to be clean, but it is past due for some renovation. If the food was better, I would give it a better review. I also ordered the 4 piece shrimp for $2.00, but the cashier forgot to put it in the bag, and I had to go back for them. My review of the shrimp: Greasy. They were also out of the cocktail sauce that was supposed to come with it. Overall, it's just ok, not good or great.

Visiting the Albany area and stop because I like Church Chicken… We not eat nothing the restaurant is so nasty… for start the door look not clean for months is full stained and all the marks with fluffing of dust. The serving desk and the stuff over broken look very old and dusty. The part of the kitchen I was see from the desk was horrible. Everything stained no clean and the floor look bad and very dirty.Not sorry but this Church Chicken is not good to go !

Look, I'm going to be 100% with what I say about this location. It's not the type of place you can feel comfortable at because between the customers around the store to the customer service it's a little shaky, but when I say I got some fresh spicy chicken today that makes Popeyes, KFC, whoever look bad I'm serious! Whoever they got back there, frying chicken is a legend in my book! Chicken is a 5 all-day when fresh like that.
