I used to come here for lunch often, before our office here closed. Aomi has some of the best hand rolls that I've had around Alpharetta - I especially liked the salmon skin one (which I don't usually like at other places; something about the way they make them here is just ... crispier? I'm not sure what it is, but it's super-tasty).

At the moment you step in that restaurant the waiters give you a comfortable feeling. Very friendly team, it is a happy restaurant to pass time with friends and colleagues or with your date. very good cuisine, talented chef, decent pay and attentive service. Warmly recommended.

The food was good but waitress service was inattentive. We had to flag down 3 times to get another round of alcohol drinks. I thought restaurants made a good profit on drinks but no one seemed to care at this restaurant. We had to wait 10 minutes to get check and to go boxes that were brought out separately. If i was the owner I would reinforce training on paying attention to customers at the hibachi grill and up sell drinks. The interior could use an update. The chairs were worn and they just put cushions to disguise the chairs.

First dining experience at this restaurant was a bit short. Arrived, party of three, for my daughters 8th birthday. Literally three (3) people in the restaurant when we arrived for hibachi. The young lady seating us sat us at a table facing the kitchen which was a bit odd considering three people there and better tables vacant. That part was odd but acceptable. It was when she split us up at the 11 person hibachi table that unacceptable. When we stated we wanted to sit together she stated if a party of four arrive that they would want to be seated together and that we could move should no other customers arrive at our table. That’s when I stated that wasn’t acceptable and she stated we’ll do whatever and tossed the menus on our plates . We left never to return. Hope this review be if it’s others who deserve a better dining experience. The day ended nice when we chose another restaurant in Avalon which was amazing.

I was at this restaurant on Tues. 3/10 for lunch with co-workers and the service was excellent thanks to our server (short blonde hair woman). Sushi was excellent thanks to the chief. I would definitely recommend this place, service was very good.

Awesome!! Clean Fresh and Friendly !! Miso is the best I’ve ever had. I had the “Something’s Wrong Roll” which was the best roll I’ve ever had.. It literally had a whole fried soft shell crab in it!!! Most places you only get a few little pieces. Will definitely be back..

Today, 3/4/2020 I tried to order ahead for a take out order. I called 5 times, and no answer. So I drove 5 miles to the restaurant to place an order for me and a co-worker. I get there and the worker (with the blond hair) is at the desk and doesn't acknowledge I'm there for about 5 minutes. She then says to me, have a seat. Pointing in the direction of two chairs in front of the desk. I was rather astonished since she was so very rude. When I sat down, another customer was in the 2nd seat and she said that same lady was rude to her as well. She also said she had been sitting there for about an half hour just waiting to place her to go order before her order was taken. I should have know then to leave. But didn't. To make a long story short, there were only 2 people working there, and the restaurant was very busy with customers. So this worker finally took my order after I had been there about 20 minutes. In the mean time, they only had one waitress and the lady who was supposed to be working the desk. Me and the other customer waited, and waited and waited and waited. I ended up waiting for an11 hour and 10 minutes and the other customer waited for 2 hours to get our "TO-GO" orders. On top of the wait, the staff was not very apologetic and at first offered a 10% discount. I insisted in speaking to the owner and insisted they call the owner. Finally speaking to the owner, she also initially tried offering me 10% discount for this fiasco as well. I had to basically tell her, I am not paying more than 50%. She then agreed to the 50% and she didn't offer the other customer anything off. The customer was so mad she just wanted to leave the restaurant. This was a terrible experience and I will never go back there.

Sushi was fresh but not great. Nothing was bad necessarily. My wife's teriyaki chicken bento box tasted like chicken, nothing but chicken, but she liked her veggies. Bathroom looked/smelled clean but my shoe soles were sticky upon leaving the bathroom. Staff was trying hard and seemingly nice people but seemed a little frazzled as well.

This is a decent place to go eat lunch and I have been several times without any issues and have always been pleased. Today, I ordered for about 10 people to go. We spoke with the restaurant a week ago to see how to best go about this, and even spoke with them this morning to see what time would be best for us to come. They advised 12:15. I got there at 12:05. At 1:45 my food was finally ready, allegedly. I got back to the office and two of the meals were missing. I called and she told me no, she gave them to me. I asked her to please check again because I didn't have the two meals - then she found it in the back. Never said sorry. I had to drive back to get the food. Again, no apology. For the entire hour and thirty minutes I was never told sorry, offered a drink, or acknowledged that my food was taking a very long time. After I went back and came back to eat my cold food, I realized two of our meals were missing the rice. The fried rice, that I was charged extra for. I don't think I'll ever go back.

This place is nice and roomy, the menu was enchanting and the rates were very fair. fast, effective service and very welcoming staff members. I recommend this place.

Very disorganized. My husband and I had a reservation at 7pm. The hostess kept sitting people who came after us. When they finally sat us on the table. They put us on a table with extra chairs that my husband would hardly see anything the chef was doing. Waited it a long time for a waitress to take our orders. Horrible experience. We won't be coming back and no recommended it.

I have been here many times and I give them 5 stars because it is a good place to take a large group, keep everyone busy and fed all at once. That said, of course they have room for improvements, but overall I am coming back. The food has been consistently fresh, reasonably portioned, and pleasantly plated. I think it is priced accordingly, although they are not very lenient with special request. For me, we purchase the adult portion because my daughter could not just add extra to her order. The hibachi cooks are friendly, engaging, and accomodating, but I wish I could say the same about the servers. It is a hit or miss, they seem to be busy on other side jobs and forget about the guests. The ambience is good. The table seating is a bit tight for me, nice for a date, but sort of awkward for a business lunch or company larger than 2 people, you'd have nowhere to set all the dishes for soup, salad, soy sauce... The tables seem small and tight.
