Great restaurant, really nice looking atmosphere inside. However, the acoustics is terrible very loud. Don't go here for a romantic dinner if it's anywhere near when everybody else is there. The food is very very good. Octopuses excellent are good. Very good cooked perfect. The portions are little small, however, very good and service and the staff are excellent wonderful visit. Nice restaurant.

Officially my favorite restaurant in Georgia! All I can say is Patio + Pâté + Pastas + Pinot = Perfection. Chef just gets it. I love the interior of the new location and eagerly look forward to crispy fall nights by the fire on the patio. This visit our server was quite nice and attentive. Keep going FSE I'll love you forever

Love this place! Loved it when it was in East Roswell and love it now in Alpharetta. Can't believe I hadn't left a review before, guess it's true we take for granted the things we love. Anyways, the interior is amazing and an aesthetically pleasing gem for your eyes to feast on before the food arrives and the belly can have its feast. Bolognese. A MUST order every time! Did a split order with my date so we could eat more other foods. More foods = better. It is a mouth dream come true of sensations and feels. Trust me on this! Usually my first go to is the Spanish octopus. By far the best I've had anywhere, ever. This time we opted for the fish tin and escargot instead. The fish tins are fun and a different spin and we enjoyed them. Might need to come back and try all the fish options in the future! The escargot was a nice mix up from the traditional dish but man, nothing slaps like that Spanish octopus! While the burger was very tasty, I want to take this opportunity to be pedantic and say it should really be called a patty melt. There, I said it. My only negative of FSE is the labeling of one of the food items on the menu and nothing else, there are no other negatives! It's all beautifully crafted and delicious and thus 5 stars.

Love the aesthetics. Service was wonderful... we were sat by the window into the kitchen which I absolutely loved. We got the mussels and then hanger steak entrees. The steak was great, but the potato entree tasted like an under-seasoned hash brown. Everything (drinks included) were great except for the potato side. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic evening with friends for the holidays! Impeccable service, great food and nice atmosphere. Old Dogwood signature cocktails were excellent. PEI mussels made were large, meaty and tasty. Braised beef & ricotta pasta was a delightful entree. Can't wait to go back!

Great experience, "booker" our server whose first name is Michael was absolutely great. 10/10 recommend and we will visit again soon.

What an incredible experience! We are long time diners at FSE from their past location but they definitely changed when relocating. This was a top tier experience with food. Every single dish was perfection in its own right. The flavors were unique and bursting. The balance of sweet and savory was exceptional. There were delightful surprises. 10/10 recommend! So grateful to have Europe level dining in our backyard.

The food here was absolutely top notch. The crispy octopus and butternut squash appetizers were both excellent. The pork ossobuco was like autumn on a plate and was so delicious. The lamb gnocchetti was spectacular and the opera cake at the end was worth saving room for. Definitely recommend and will be back. Also the chefs table gives you a great view of the behind the scenes of a restaurant.

Very expensive relative to the portion size; especially when considering that the two dishes we had, were pasta dishes with either chicken or beef; and the proteins were only about 3 or 4 oz. in each. They were good, but not over the top excellent.

Great service from Louise and excellent dinner overall. This is a top choice for an ambience and good quality.

Love this place. Downtown Alpharetta has a lot of very good restaurants but most places lack much creativity. Foundation absolutely fills this gap. The chef's seasonal menu always has fresh ingredients with a creative yet approachable take. If you are tired of the same old steak frites and shrimp and grits give Foundation a try and see what the chef has put together. Highly recommended.

Amazing. Simply Amazing. Mel (chef) is just phenomenal. Service (Sydney) was as smooth as silk with service, input, and delivery. Identity drinks from the bars are in the supreme category.

First time here after looking at other reviews. Octopus served with a light crust and chicken chorizo. The mushroom ravioli is served in a light sauce. After looking at the website I understand now that there is French flare. Highly recommend for those that are willing to eat outside their American comfort zone!

Our service was very good and the food was small portions but well done. We enjoyed the charcuterie, bread and sardines and muscles out of the can can. It was a little unusual. We had the scallops and beef that were cooked nicely and would go back sometime next year. Our beverages were good just not the best in that area as there are so many great places around there.
