It is hard to compare this place to other fried chicken places because it is so different. There are several different ways your chicken can be served. Also, the chicken is not cut in typical pieces that you see in other fried chicken places. All in all, it was OK, but I do not really have a desire to return there. It is also more expensive than your typical fried chicken place

Went to try out Kimchi Red to see what all the hype was about. Ordered the chicken, and the Halal beef. While it was good, but honestly it wasn't as good as some other Korean chicken places, and I feel it's definitely not worth the price. Spent almost $70 for 2 people and I had to put the tray away myself. Side dishes was a small amount of radish and kimchi. Like small! It's like a fast food concept. Get your own water too. I don't think I will be back.

1st time we came we had the Jeonju (fried chicken) on the bone, that dish was wonderful. This time we had the boneless Mal La not a good flavor at all.

The food was amazing and so delicious. The serving portions are big (each meal feeds at least 2 people). The service was also great. This is a must try spot.

This place is awesome and had the best fried chicken I ever had in my life. So crispy and juicy, no other words than incredible and delicious.

The ambiance is bright and vibrant as is their menu. We had a mediocre experience the first time we came here. The owner responded to the Yelp review I left and invited me to come back and give them another chance to make my experience as enjoyable as possible. My husband and I did just that. The owner is so gracious and customer care focused. Her staff made our day and the food was outstanding! I highly recommend Kimchi Red! Thank you Kimchi Red! We will visit your new location in Swanee next week! Charlene & John Thibodeau

Pretty good that caters well to the locals. Jeonju KFC - Almost perfect, Americanized version of a Korean-Chinese staple dish, "ggan poong gi" or dry-braised chicken. Even resembles a version of a "dak gang jung", sweet, dry-fried KFC nuggets. Mala KFC - Quite impressive handling of the mala spices with legit Sichuan corn pepper pieces, but they may want to reconsider using too much corn starch to thicken the sauce; a lighter mala sauce glazed can bloom the maximum mala-ness with complexity the KFC can offer. Dry pepper should not be that bitter, but I know it's hard to source the right kinds here. Good job!

Upon our arrival, only bar seats were vacant. We were assured by the server that we could move to a table once it became available. However, when a party departed, the server reneged on their promise, citing incoming customers. This breach of trust and disregard for customer satisfaction is utterly unacceptable. We are deeply disappointed and feel betrayed by their conduct. Shame on them for such unprofessional behavior!

Every visit to Kimchi Red in Alpharetta has been nothing short of spectacular, and it's my go-to spot for the best Korean fried chicken in town. The chicken dishes here are a revelation - perfectly golden and crispy on the outside while remaining succulently juicy inside. Each piece is coated in a deliciously unique blend of spices that tantalizes the taste buds and leaves you craving more. What sets Kimchi Red apart is the heartwarming hospitality led by the owner (Alice?), who greets every guest with a smile that's as warm as the food. Their genuine kindness and eagerness to share their love for Korean cuisine adds a personal touch to the dining experience that is rare and delightful. I've dined here multiple times, and each visit has been consistently fantastic. Whether it's the addictive crunch of the chicken, the bold flavors of Mega Fries, or the comforting ambiance, Kimchi Red never fails to deliver. This place is a true gem in Alpharetta, and I always look forward to coming back for more unforgettable meals.

The best KFC and Kim chi fried rice! We visited from Florida and keep thinking of the next time we'll be able to come back!

I was craving KFC (Korean fried chicken) today but did not want to drive all the way down to Duluth for the plethora of KFC options they have, and came across Kimchi Red in Alpharetta. It's a little shop in a smaller plaza, but don't let that discourage you from going in. When I entered the restaurant there was only one family in line and a few tables taken. After we ordered, it got slammed packed with a line all the way to the door from the counter. All the tables were taken in a matter of minutes. We questioned the high prices of the food, at least compared to competitors like Pelicana and BBQ Chicken. However our thoughts changed once we were greeted with a mountain of fried chicken with sauce dripping down. My eyes have never seen anything more delectable. Overall, the food was delicious, I'm familiar with Korean flavors so I enjoyed my choice of sauce. I'd recommend asking the cashier what their popular flavors are if you're overwhelmed with the menu. I would come back again if I feel like splurging on KFC!

Not sure how this place is so popular. I really wanted to love this spot. Was super excited to try it. I love Korean fried chicken but unfortunately this place was a let down. Ordered 3 types and it cost over $100 which was crazy to begin with. I know wings are expensive and double fried is even more but at around $3 a wing, it's crazy. Unfortunately they tasted like they were Just coated in chicken fried steak seasoning and then they dumped a bunch of Panda Express sauce on top. Wasn't bad, just wasn't good
