Went for lunch and had their sushi special which is very reasonably priced and it did not take long. I definitely would recommend to a friend and will be returning!

Ordered takeout from here the other night - got the hibachi steak and what arrived was an abomination of a meal. The steak appeared (and tasted) either boiled or steamed, and definitely didn't taste like it came off a hibachi. It was a gross grey color that just didn't look right. The rice it came with was good, but I couldn't eat more than 2 pieces of the steak because it was that bad (and I'm honestly not that picky). Huge waste of money, and I went to bed hungry.

The food was the absolute worst hibachi on the planet. I can't explain how bad the smell and taste of the chicken was. We threw it out right when we received it. Burnt fish maybe is the closest description I can come up with. The soup was equally as bad. Waste of a lot of money.

Coming from Chicago and some serious non- Benihana Japanese Steakhouses, Kobe does not disappoint. Friendly staff, fast service, and fantastic food. A definite spot to take the family or a special someone.

I've been dying for hibachi. Kobe Steak and Sushi Bar came highly recommended by the Yelp Machine. The reviews looked great. The name evokes a lot of promise. I like the design of the interior, but I also was slightly disappointed. I was looking for the dinner and a show type of hibachi experience. My personal fault of course for not checking the pictures more carefully. Kobe Steak and Sushi Bar has a very big menu with an incredible sushi selection. I went with the Filet Mignon and Lobster because of course I would. Fried rice costs $2 extra, but it's usually worth it. I love hibachi fried rice. My basic friend ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll and Philadelphia Roll in spite of there being so many cooler, more unique options. Sushi is sushi, and it's pretty hard to mess up basic rolls. The hibachi was, frankly, just below mediocre. Filet was pretty good. Lobster probably could've been cooked a little less. The vegetables were very salty. My palate is significantly less sensitive than average. Can't imagine how it tastes for the normies. You know the absolute worst part of the experience that drags this just below 3 stars? The fried rice absolutely sucked! My goodness, was I sad. It'd be one thing if the fried rice didn't cost extra like most places, or at least contained protein like it does at Benihana. I'd be potentially interested in exploring more sushi. The hibachi left a lot to be desired.

This place has the worst sashimi I've ever had. The sushi is also not good. Please don't get the sushi and sashimi combo. It's horrible. Get sushi rolls here that might be good. They also took 25 minutes to serve me 18 pieces of sliced fish in that combo. Horrible efficiency, below average food, and service was mid tier.
Came here on a whim since it's new and had a decently high percentage of good reviews. I'm very pleasantly surprised. Price, quality and taste - all five star. I used to go to MF Sushi in Avalon because I was tired of average, nasty sushi, but this will be our go-to sushi spot now.Please don't change!!

Tried shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, spicy salmon and salmon roll and everything was very delicious and fresh! Also, pan fried shumai (appetizer) was excellent! Definitely coming back soon!

Good lunch spot with daily specials on food and drinks. Food is good but not great in my opinion. My only real issue is they don't offer low sodium soy sauce for their sushi.

Me and my friend went out for sushi and hibachi a couple days ago and it was okay. I asked the lady if we could sit outside since it was a pretty day outside she refused. My friend asked for the drink menu and she gave it to him but when we were ready to order she said the bartender couldn't make them. The food was okay the portions are pretty small and you have to continue asking for sauces and items.
