Food was pretty good but tacos were very bland. The steak had no flavor. Service was absolutely terrible. No salsa was provided with chips on the to go order and I had to drive all the way back to get them. The server was very rude and gave me a nasty look just because I asked for salsa that should come with chips by default. Awful service.

Ordered Chicken Enchiladas and Fajitas Tex. Enchiladas were blend and Fajitas were ok. Service was good. So hard to find a great Mexican restaurant around here w/out having to travel towards the city.

I love to try the little hole in the wall places because it's usually the best food. Our server was really good from start to finish. Their salsa had a great flavor and the chips were light but firm. I got the two tacos lunch, chicken and pork. The pork taco was much tastier than the chicken. Overall it was a very good experience and I will stop in when I'm in the area.

The signature margarita was really good. I have to be honest that's why we read reviews here right?! Had the queso with jalapeños that was good Had the steak burrito it was bland and steak tacos steak had no flavor with black beans and rice the black beans tasted like they just poured it from the can no flavor. It's a shame $85 for lunch and the food was just not good. They were very nice though. I won't be back not worth it.

I work with people with IDD. I brought in two clients with me and we had a great dinner. Our waitress, Erica, was great throughout our meal. When I asked for the check, I was told that it had already been paid!! This was my first, but won't be my last time eating here!!!

My husband and I came in on a Wednesday night. We were greeted by Cam. Cam was very attentive and sat us right away. We came on a very cold winter night, unfortunately there wasn't many people. Unsure why, because our experience was great. I was a little wary at first, when we asked our server what he recommended he said he didn't eat Mexican food and the menus were old and faded out. We ordered a skinny margarita ($12) and a negra modelo(6$) the beer was cold and my margarita was perfect, no sort of premade mix. For dinner we ordered a shrimp burrito and street tacos (steak) the tacos were authentic (cilantro and onions) and the marinade was on point. My shrimp burrito was really good as well, I do wish it had a little more queso crema. The shrimp, veggies and tortilla all had a delicious grilled taste. The ambiance is casual family friendly with a ton of available parking. They have an awesome patio and were told they have live music Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We will definitely be back.

Let's face it. Tacos aren't complicated. Right? So what sets a great taco apart from a good taco? The ingredients!I probably had one of the best Shrimp Tacos at Rio Balsas! You could tell everything was fresh or freshly made. The Tacos were pillowy soft. The salsa and chips were perfection. The shrimp tasted like they just came out of the ocean. Will definitely be back again.

I opted for lunch and chose the Chicken Fajitas. The overall dining experience was decent, though the rice fell short of expectations. The service was notably friendly, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant wasn't crowded, allowing for a swift 30-40 minute lunch. Impressively, the Chicken Fajitas arrived promptly in just 5-7 minutes. While the meal had its highlights, I'd rate the experience as a 3/5.

Typical Tex-Mex. Food was average. Alcoholic drinks on the other hand were exceptionally well made. No skimping on the liquor. Recommend that you have a designated driver if you plan to have more than two of their margaritas. The building is pretty old and has the appearance of "hole in the wall" if you get my drift. The staff were helpful and responsive.
