“There is just something sweetly unique and nostalgic about the smell that welcomes you when entering a real authentic bakery (as opposed to a bakery that is part of a larger store) - and that wonderful olfactory experience was just the beginning of an "sweet" (yes!) visit in this shop and with the owner of the new 2LC Bakery in downtown Americus. I enjoyed a lovely conversation - learning that the owner and her 14 year old daughter are the collective inspiration for name of the shop - "Two Ladies and a Cake" or "2LC." I loved all the ambiance and art and inspirational messages on the walls and tables. And wow - we tried several items from the daily special offerings (including fresh from the oven cinnamon buns topped with dripping caramel and pecans, strawberry brownies, ooey-gooey brownies, and the apple-walnut-zucchini bread) and each one was absolutely delicious. I also learned that the owner makes incredible theme cakes and other items, customized with designs or images that fit any taste or celebration. What a gem of a shop! Highly recommend.“
