Floyd’s used to be the best bar in Americus. Some out of state company buys up the hotel, fires the old staff, changes everything, and now Floyd’s is a restaurant only, with an earlier closing time. Toboggan Steve’s sucks, with irregular hours, so changing how Floyd’s is run effectively killed the nightlife in Americus. Thanks a lot to the corporation who bought up the hotel and couldn’t leave well enough alone. How nice to cater to out-of-towners, while leaving your locals in the lurch.

We were very disappointed when we decided to try out Floyd’s since they have new owners. The outside experience used to be One of the best in Americus. My husband and nephew were shocked when we were sitting outside, rushed to order if we were going to get something, and it was early, and then told they cannot smoke their cigars outside. We used to come regularly have a few drinks, and they would enjoy a great cigar, evidently this is no longer their policy so we will no longer be going to Floyd’s for relaxing night .

What a surprising difference from the other in house restaurant. Much more casual but the service was outstanding and everyone was really friendly. Pub fare but we enjoyed it. Would go back.

Disappointed in the changes. As a local that has spent countless afternoons in this establishment. I was shocked to find out that the rosemary and thyme menu has now been restricted from use at Floyd’s. Because of this change there is no longer a romantic outdoor place to eat dinner in Americus. Unless you consider bar food as romantic that is. A long-standing tradition that I had is now broken. I’m sure other locals have a similar opinion.

Updated review: The hotel that houses the pub has been sold and this is my first time going since the sale. There is no longer indoor seating except at the bar but the outdoor seating area is nice (I miss the rockers, though). Had a delicious margarita flight (Blackberry, raspberry, peach and lime). I'm excited to see what other changes are coming.

came here for a nice time with some friends and had the worst experience. saw a couple of roaches and when we were leaving it looked what seemed to be mold on the coolers. the drinks were terrible but the food was great. service was below average 100% do not recommend the server named Hannah. if the staff was more attentive and kept things more clean it would have been a more pleasurable time.
