The food is cheap and good and the atmosphere is perfect for taking the family out.Plan to stay a little while, not because the service is slow, but because you'll just wanna stick around a little while and relax. Nice little hotdog joint in an attractive location in Americus, Ga. There was a relatively long line but the wait isn’t too bad due to the atmosphere of the shop being so pleasant. The cheese fries were phenomenal and the combo dog was good. Menu prices are exceptionally reasonable. I enjoyed my visit here

I grew up in these hot dogs - hands down still the best I've ever had. The chili cheese dog is amazing but as I've gotten older I have to restrain myself to just the chili dog with cheese fries...for my health : )Have loved this place for decades and I hope they're here forever. Would definitely recommend if you're nearby.

If you're rolling down Hwy 19 and you want a great lunch, be sure to make a short detour to downtown Americus and visit Monroe's! You know the locals anywhere know what's good and this is a favorite. One of mine too! The chili dogs are great, but the slaw dogs are my favorite any day. Get the loaded tots if you are really feeling hungry! Mahe sure to get the gravy on them. Overall, nice place, friendly staff, lots of seating. Never been there at night for dinner or billiards...
