The burgers are good here and they have a nice selection of beer but the other food is way overpriced for what you get. If you eat at the bar don't expect great service. You'll get better service if you sit at a table.

food was great, however, when i didn’t like my alcoholic drink that i ordered, i was told by the server that the bartender “doesn’t like to refund or remake drinks” so she offered to add more mixer to the drink instead of replacing. i found this odd, as i am a bartender at another restaurant and i would never say no to remaking a drink

Atmosohere was nice, hostess and waitstaff were friendly, seated me quickly despite being busy and having a wait. The beer was good, but its unlikely ill return for food. Ordered bacon Mac and cheese bites, kraft mac and cheese deep fried,, no bacon to be found. My kids had burgers and fries, burgers were ok, fries were so heavily seasoned they were difficult to eat, I had a brat and Brussel sprouts. The Brussel sprouts were good, but again to heavily salted, once some of the salt was wiped they were great. The brat was aweful, no flavor, just texture. I ate one bite, my kid tried a bite and we both were dissapointed. When asked about the food I mentioned my un eaten brat was terrible and the waitress said sorry, would you like your check. I don't expect free food, but nothing more than a sorry was also dissapointing. Overall with one beer, tip and food I spent $100 to come home and eat.

We've tried several different entrees here. Chicken Marsala, fish and chips and the hot dog. All were very good.My only complaint is that the brussel sprouts, while tasty, are WAY too salty.Maybe we can ask for no salt though.

Love popping into Akademia for a quick beer and appetizer! They have a solid menu - we love the pretzel and cheese curds. They have a great selection of beer as well - they have an assortment of IPAs, but we love hefs and stouts, and they have a few solid ones on tap. The Skål is a solid hef/wheat and the JavaKong is a great chocolate imperial pastry stout with zero bitterness. Another good dark is the MACcident/Cheers to 6 Years is considered a barley wine mixed stout. The servers are great too - Chontelle is awesome!

Stopped in for a brunch and was unaware that we couldn't drink the first hour of brunch. Hahaha. Our mistake not theirs! Beers were good and the brunch was not bad at all. Cool selection of beers overall and seating is right there in the brewery so it gives off a cool vibe as well.
Good atmosphere & nice variety of beer on tap! Food is okay but a little pricey. Trivia is great though!

Chantelle is *the* best server--attentive, funny, and so real. The music is always top notch too! Can't say enough about the beer. Always have at least 2 stouts on tap, which I feel like not a lot of breweries do! Love Akademia, it's an Athens staple.

Very good food had the stake ,eggs ,French frys , cheese grits and a biscuits water and a Georgia peach it took 15 minutes before my waiter took our drink order another 20 minutes for him to take our food order than 25 minutes to get my food asked him about our drinks my dinner companion didn't get her food for another 15 minutes that's 1hour 15 minutes he was a joke

Chontelle was absolutely fabulous. She was extremely patient and we loved that she kept checking on us and asking us if we needed anything. The food was on point and the drinks were fantastic.
