Looking for Korean BBQ without having to drive to Atlanta? Check out Iron Factory. Service and food were great. Portions and price, on point. We will be back.

If you haven’t been to Iron Factory or have any reservation about “Korean BBQ”… you are completely missing out.First… the variety of options is strong! Chicken, salmon, shrimp and multiple steak options. Whatever they put on the food is absolutely scrumptious! Tangy, zesty and savory. We upgraded our vegetables for a whole dollar and worth it. While I would pass on the kimchi itself, the kimchi rice was good! I think kimchi is likely an acquired taste. And let me take a minute to talk about our service. The moment you walk in, I strongly recommend you ask for Bianca. I mean, I’m sure the rest of the staff is good… but if you want to experience something beyond good, Bianca is your gal. She was personable, warm and so engaging. She reminded us of Bianca from the The Rescuers… classy, fun and warm. Truly fantastic service.Note: they also really nail the whole “birthday bonus”. No standing on shakes singing to you… no free dessert that you probably wouldn’t have ordered… when Bianca heard we were celebrating a birthday she said the bar would offer a free shot of our choice. To make it even better, our birthday boy was drinking old fashions so the bartender joyfully made a mini old fashioned in a shot glass! If you’re visiting Athens, you can’t go wrong with a dinner at the Iron Factory!Great job to everyone working tonight. And thank you Bianca for a memorable dinner.

Gave me food poisoning. Service was not great either. They kept trying to leave out parts of our orders to scam us. I had to ask 3 times to get the complete order and either the server got mad and gave us bad food or they just serve bad food here that will make you sick. I’m Korean and used to KBBQ places. The soup is what gave me food poisoning here. Overall, I would avoid this place as it gave me sketchy vibes with them repeatedly trying to stiff us on what we paid for.

This is one of our go tos. We've loved it since moving to Athens but when my husband was diagnosed with Celiac it became a godsend. It's so easy for him to eat safely there that we don't really even have to think about it. And he's able to share food with the table easily. The service is always great! Nice experience.

The food was good including rice cooked well. The quantity of meats, fish even vegetables were small. The service was excellent.

The food was mediocre and expensive. The service was not good. The server always seemed rushed, and it took a long time for everyone to get their drinks.

My husband has Celiac Disease, so he cannot have any gluten. Usually that's a problem with Asian restaurants, mainly because soy sauce contains wheat. But we found reviews online for Iron Factory from other Celiacs, and we decided to give it a go.Over all? It. Was. Heavenly! Everything tasted beyond wonderful - perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, perfect ingredients, etc. Our waitress, Bianca, was such an absolutely precious rockstar and was great even with all the allergy questions we had to ask. When we go back (when, not if), we'll definitely ask for her.Their ginger dressing makes the salad a winner, even if you're not a salad person. It was really refreshing and the perfect thing to begin the meal with, so I'm glad we got it! We also ordered a gluten-free version of the stuffed mushrooms, and they were GLORIOUS.We ordered Combo #1 - chicken, bulgogi, and pork belly, and did the $1 upgrade for spicy chicken. We also opted for the veggies with squash instead of the other option. Everything came out wonderfully, and we didn't have to worry about the chicken being undercooked (always a fear of mine when I'm cooking) because they cooked it fully in the back before bringing it out and putting it on the grill to finish getting crispy and wonderful. Bianca cooked the foods at our table and let us know when each thing was ready to eat.My only advice here is not to take it straight from grill to mouth, or you'll burn yourself! Grab things off the grill and put them in your place for a little bit first to avoid that. Or suffer the little burnt tongue bumps and enjoy the tastiness faster! Your choice.Kid-friendliness: I would say older kids could do well here (the older the better), but there is a hot cooktop in the middle of your table that you're cooking on, so I wouldn't try to go here with younger kids. It's not the right scene, cuisine, or process for young children.Dietary restrictions: ?Celiac Considerations:•Don't freak out when you see the grill and panic about how well they clean off the gluten from other orders; nothing on the menu that goes on the grill contains gluten.•They don't have a dedicated fryer, so don't get fried foods if you want to avoid gluten cross contact.•The soy sauce is in a regular Kikkoman bottle, but it's a GF soy sauce.•The only potential GF dessert is ice cream.•The bar has plenty of drinks that are GF, if you want to order something.•Be up front about your GF questions. They are super friendly and willing to accommodate!Other Allergy Considerations:?Things on the grill are cooked in either butter or margarine, I don't know which. My lactose intolerant husband was fine with those and the stuffed mushrooms, but be aware if you have a dairy allergy.?Their soy sauce is GF, but be aware if you have a soy allergy. It's part of the cooking process that I'm not sure can be substituted or left off, but I'm sure they could tell you if you called and asked.? Let them know if you're allergic to shellfish, because they do offer that as a grill option.?I didn't see any nuts on the menu anywhere.

Amazing. Everything was delicious, the server was great, drinks were good. All around lovely. I will say that most of the foods were a little spicer than expected but still overall fantastic

Was really hoping to like this restaurant. Their menu prices have increased dramatically from what they have online vs in the restaurant. That's not right - they need to update it.Food: I ordered the seafood pancake, but was told once the food started coming out that they no longer served it. The pork was fatty and tough. I was also disappointed by the fried asparagus (thick and soggy breading). The fried oreo was the same breading as the asparagus. Ginger salad was entirely dowsed in dressing - i couldn't even finish it as it was too salty. Portion sizes were small compared to other kbbq places. They didn't have any of the traditional sides (which are usually plentiful in variety and unlimited) besides pickled radish and a few peices of marinated onions. This was my birthday dinner and sadly, for the prices and portions, I would never recommend or return.

Placed a delivery order from the Iron Factory. They waited 20 minutes and then canceled the order. I doubt I will eat there again.

Went here for a birthday party for some friends. Had a blueberry mojito since it was a hot day and I would be in front of a hot kbbq station. I get that sugar is addicting, so it will sell better, but it's entirely too sweet. I think if you served this in Havana you would not make it off the island. Other than that, everything else was pretty good.
