I've visited the locations on multiple occasions finding that there is only ever one consistency. It is not the food nor the timeliness, but it is rather lack of service. I understand the concept style of this restaurant but I feel as though that service should be easier considering there is no real serving. Not only have I been met with rude and inattentive younger folks, but the management (I'm assuming) as well. It's no wonder these kids behave the way they do with the management they have leading them. Once, an older gentleman came to our table and stayed the entire time we ate. It was a nice gesture, but after hinting that we were done with conversation, he did not leave. I've witnessed these kids get berated in front of other employees and guests. I've also seen the same older gentleman speak very loudly in a negative tone to employees multiple times while I was dining. Not to mention when the older woman insulted the To-Go boy right in front of me. The food is good but they definitely need to have a meeting about their restaurant ambiance. My husband and I can't help but feel uncomfortable returning and even noticed some of our favorite staff members have left. I can't remember the tall blonde girls name, but we have noticed she hasn't returned.

I won't bother eating here again. I ordered a brisket sandwich without the bun and I essentially got a pile of fatty remnants. My son ordered the same, but with the bun and his meat had essentially no fat.

I took a friend with me to try this the food. So we stood in the line like you do at a fast food restaurant. This is the second time I have eaten here. There was nobody at this restaurant. We place our orders. I ordered sweet tea. We get our number and cup. I go to get a sweet tea. It's empty. There are two young female employees standing there, I waited for them to move out of the way to get drinks. I try to get my tea. The teas are all empty. I politely interrupt the conversation they are having right in front of the drink area. I say. ( excuse me, all the tea dispensers are empty). The very tall woman with jet-black hair turns around and says, (we know that. We are trying to figure it out). So rude! There is not much to figure out. When the tea is empty, you just go to the back and get more. It shouldn't take two employees to figure this out. What needs to be fingered out, is customer service. I don't see this place staying open very long. I have never seen more than 10 guests in the restaurant at a time. With the way this is being managed, I'm sure it will close soon. The food is okay, but the portions are very small. The tea is good too, after waiting and being scolded by the employee. Remember, the whole reason you have a job is to provide a Steller customer experience. Had your employees not just been standing by the front door and all three just having a conversation, the tea would off been full.

I've tried Jim and Nicks twice and I've been dissatisfied everytime!! The food here is awful, just don't taste like the good ole southern barbeque. I was excited when I learned that they were coming to Athens but now simply disappointed!!! I just spent 30+ dollars for the 2nd time to get awful BBQ. the smoked turkey is nasty, the brisket is nasty, and the ribs are tuff!!!! Go perfect yoir food ams come back and try again.

That juicy beef brisket and collard greens with baked beans. Delicious and satisfying.

Everything was good ?? ?? up. The only complaint is the pricing (it cost me and my husband $70.00) ? I will be back, but it will be a toss-up between a $53.00 steak night or a $70.00 BBQ night....

Food 1000/10As a Texan I am shocked to find bbq this good. Wing and brisket are to die for. Sauces beyond amazing. Wings crispy and juicy.Place looks brand new, but I felt like the music was a little too loud. Other than that perfect for a date or small group. A little bit aggressive having signs for order before sitting, but it is probably helpful during rush times.Service is friendly albeit a little slow. Food came fast and that's wonderful. It would be nice to have a half portion option for the nachos. They were a little pricey but came with a huge tray. Definitely too large for just one person. Even two is a bit of a stretch. And they got that good sonic-like ice.Parking: Good job

We ate there for lunch on a Tuesday. I had the salad with pulled pork. It was decent. The atmosphere was pretty good except it was very loud. They need to turn down the music. Also it was a cool day outside, but they had the AC going full blast. Most customers were huddled in their jackets. We couldn't find a table without a vent blowing down on it. You have to eat fast before your food gets cold.

We were so excited to visit the Athens, Jim & Nick's, but were quickly disappointed to see the ordering procedure. We ordered and were given a number. We prepared our drinks, found our utensils and sat at a table, labeled it was okay to sit sincewe had paid for our food. Our food came quickly but our pulled pork was not even warm. Same with the blob of mac and cheese. I added salt to it just to give it some flavor. The greens were warm and tasty thanks to the pepper sauce. The fast food vibe was enough turn off but the yucky food was the clincher. We will not return.

Great flavor I always place an online order and it's always been great services. The only issue was I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich and was given a sliced brisket sandwich which was disappointing but I still ate it. My favorite is the greens and the banana pudding.

This place has the best greens I've ever tasted. I was super impressed by the smoked wings and chili as well. I literally can't explain how impressive of a restaurant location this is, very convenient.
