So much fun to experience old Athens; the cook knows how to give medium rare - the bar is a great place to hang. Sorry, I haven't got a pic but trust me - medium rare is medium rare ?

The food and service were amazing! I had the fried calamari(best I've ever had), blackened shrimp basket with hush puppies. The only downside was the smell of the bathroom-our table was right next to it and we could smell it which was a turn off I will eat here again pretty soon!

TJ was our server and he was excellent. The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was very cool. Interesting to see that the owners were from Tampa. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I'm not a seafood lover but I figure they would at least have some plain options like fried shrimps, fried fish, or even fried chicken tenders without any sauce or extra razzle dazzle on top. Maybe even a simple salmon with mashed potatoes. I guess I'm just used to simple things so this wasn't my cup of tea.I eventually picked the salmon BLT since that seemed like the simplest option and I wished the salmon was seasoned just a little bit more. It was flavorless but the bacon made it tolerable. The bread was soft and the sauce or dressing used was nice. The fries was seasoned perfectly but I wished they provided more. The drinks was okay. I wanted something sweet but I got a minty drink and didn't taste any pineapple (I think it was pineapple or mango) or strawberry. Not everyone drinks alcohol so they should think about coming up with some fruity drink ideas, especially since it seems like a family restaurant.

Food was great but the environment was extremely loud and the service was poor.

Really good! Fried grouper was our favorite appetizer next to smoked salmon pimento cheese. Oyster Rockefeller was 3 out of 5, wouldn't order again but it wasn't a loss. The baked smoked Gouda macaroni and cheese was pretty tasty too. The fries are really good.

We stopped shortly after my son’s graduation from UGA (12/15/23). We have eaten here a handful of times and never been disappointed.Parking is a bit challenging, but the cozy environment, food, and welcoming staff make up for it.Appetizer: fried green tomatoes and grouper nuggets. I highly recommend both. We always get the tomatoes but this was the first time having the nuggets. I am not a fan of tartar sauce and I loved the house made tartar sauce. I even asked for more. Appetizers were YUM. 5/5 ⭐️Main: Buffalo shrimp basket (2), salmon BLT (2) and a shrimp basket. We all had fries/slaw. None of us were impressed by the slaw. There was no flavor and it was just blah. However, there were no other complaints. It was delicious. The BLT’s were made with fresh bacon and salmon. The shrimp was also fresh and the buffalo was well seasoned. They have a house made chipotle ranch dressing that is great for dipping fries. Overall YUM 4/5 ⭐️Dessert: we al shared a slice of bourbon pecan pie and key lime pie. Although we all like the pecan pie we chose key lime as our favorite. It was not overwhelming bitter and had a great subtle lime flavor.Overall rating 4/5 ?
