This is my favorite spot in Athens. As a vegan, I am always on the hunt for desserts. When I tell you that I haven’t had a donut in the six years I’ve been vegan- Nedzas has been a GODSEND. Not one, but all of the donut flavors are vegan!!! The staff is extremely welcoming and kind when I come in for my weekly half dozen. I first tried a donut from their booth at the Saturday farmers market. This is such a great spot in Athens for anyone who loves donuts, coffee, breakfast, and a wonderful time.

My first time trying their food was this morning. I tried chicken and waffle with pimento cheese grits. And a latte. Latte was okay. Chicken looked cooked to perfection on the outside crust, but part of the inside was burnt and tasted so. The server was pleasant and helpful. I only saw about 8-10 pimentos in the large serving of grits and had to add salt and pepper to taste. (The salt not so much to taste salt, but to make the grits have a little more taste.) I think they are onto something with the grits, but they could use a little more pimento AND cheese in their recipe in my opinion. Also, they might not be used to a person not being in a hurry to eat and run. On a Saturday morning, I occasionally like to eat out and collect my thoughts or work on things, like reviews maybe, on my phone...take my time. The dining area was not crowded, and being helpful and consciencious, my server came over a couple of times to to see if I needed a box for leftovers. I finally decided to take her up on it and sat here to finish my review. Since this was my initial impression, I hope to return and have enjoy the food itself more and give them more stars. We will see.

This review makes me sad to type. I've always loved Nedzas for their doughnuts and overall local charm. We decided to try their breakfast today. It was terrible. We waited forever for food that wasn't hot. The pimento cheese grits sounded amazing! It came out as a scoop of luke warm paste in a bowl. I even asked them to heat it more to give it a fighting chance. It finally came back after we finished the rest of our food and was EXACTLY the same. Luke warm paste. I'm so disappointed. Where are you Nedza?? Come back!!

Unfortunately I didn’t get to really experience Nedza’s because I ordered the fried chicken biscuit and it was burnt to a crisp. I took one bite and spit it out because you could taste the hardness and burntness through the biscuit. I wanted coffee but the lady that took my order informed me that they had no flavored creme just oak milk, regular milk, or half and half. The staff was friendly though.

The worse service I have ever had. We sat at the table for 30 minutes before we called over a waitress asking if we could order. After ordering we didn't get our drinks for another 30 mins. On top of that the food was just not good. My pancakes were burnt (but i ate it bc i was so hungry) and the grits and chicken and waffles just didn't taste good. Everyone around me was waiting so long and the people who work here seem clueless to how long people are waiting. Plus the girl who was supposed to be waiting on us was socializing with customers that I assume are her friends when so many people were waiting to be waited on. I'm an Athens local and decided to go somewhere different for Father's Day, but I will never be returning to Nezda's.

I got the grits and an egg and cheese sandwich on a waffle and it was great! The grits were definitely my favorite, the waffle had an interesting, sweet taste to it but not bad at all. Will be going again!

BEST CHICKEN AND WAFFLE DISHES I'VE EVER HAD! FANTASTIC DONUTS! The churro donut and the glazed donut with chocolate and sprinkles were delicious and we had the sweetest message written on our donut holders. The fried chicken sandwich had options of a bun, bagel or waffle as the bread. I choose a waffle and it was delicious. My friend got the chicken and waffles and added some "heat" to it. The sandwich was the perfect combo of savory and sweet. The chicken and waffles was smothered in a cream cheese sauce topped with little spice crystals reminded me of savory pop rocks. It was the strangest yet most fascinating chicken and waffles I ever had. It was so savory and kinda mind-blowing. I wanna come back to Athens just to brunch here again!

I’ve been in before and loved the yummy desserts. Today I went with my friends and the woman at the counter, Lyndsey, was so sweet! I love how you guys put the little kind notes on your stuff. It always makes my day!

In town for the first time... Was looking forward to their biscuits that are advertised on their website. They said they didn't make them anymore. Then, they burnt to a crisp my boyfriend bagel sandwich. They left a nice, cute note on the bag. Overall, we would only go again to get their mega cookies again! They are really good.

Good service, but the food was so-so. They no longer have biscuits, which I understand but is also the entire reason I went there. I can’t speak to anything other than their breakfast sandwiches, but not having biscuits simply means I’ll go somewhere else. Their grits were ok, and the bacon/sriracha/brown sugar was delicious. In a competitive market like Athens, the removal of a good biscuit will be very difficult to overcome.

Nedza’s is a great breakfast place! I loved the atmosphere, the kind employees, and I really appreciated the personalization of my order! Such a great place!!

I don’t normally like cake donuts, but I stopped in here and their donuts are next level! So good. And the bagel is wonderful too. Not to mention the sweet note that was written on the bag. There really is a lot of love in this place! Do you need to stop in here and try the donuts, seriously!

Wow, I can't here for breakfast and the flavor was absolutely astounding. It was as if a rogue world-class culinary artist took the McGriddle and transformed it into something classy. And the staff were incredibly polite and accommodating. I can't wait to go back.

They were out of so many things to start. Once I was directed to order one of the sandwiches, it came out missing another 2-3 ingredients. Basically got 2 subpar egg sandwiches and a coffee for $30... Was one of my worst breakfast experiences in Athens. Will not be coming back when I could have made a way better meal for a lot less money.

I really enjoyed the food. The staff were friendly. I only am giving 4 star because my friend had to ask twice to get her correct order. They also forgot to give me my grits. But overall great service, great food. I will be back! Best fried chicken I've had in Athens yet in a biscuit. Just wish they made biscuits again.
