Food is always great, and it’s tough to beat the atmosphere (especially during spring and fall). Service as far as efficiency is top notch. For the most part, employees are friendly and do well at handling the nonstop business. Unfortunately, there are at least two (full-time/regular) employees that are quite rude and unpleasant. It is clear that the customer’s presence alone is an inconvenience. Other than that, all around great spot for any Athens residents and visitors.

First, the positive! The salsa here is quite good. I thought the pico de gallo had a little too much lime juice but overall, the chips and salsas were very nice! Unfortunately, that’s where my enjoyment of the food stopped. The flour tortillas tasted like grocery store tortillas. Bready and gummy. The brisket filling was quite wet and greasy with an unpleasant gaminess. It left the tortilla soggy. Same with the “Memphis” which was overly sweet. The “spicy” slaw was not spicy, but also sweet. The fish in the fish taco was incredibly tough and chewy, as if it sat in the fryer for too long. I added some of the delicious salsa which helped a bit but I have to say that this was disappointing and I don’t understand the long lines. Maybe they have good margaritas? Anyway, if you just want chips and salsa, I think you’ll enjoy this place. Steer clear of the tacos!

Margarita was great! The food is pretty good! I like it a lot, however in my opinion it was not filling enough. The ambience is very inviting for a college town. Only bad part was that it was not a good bang for buck.

My girlfriend and I came for dinner tonight and had an awesome experience!! I had a fish taco and the shrimp chowder, and she had the brisket tacos. Yum!! Also, I’m fairly picky about salsa and queso, and theirs is spot on!!

This was my first visit and the longest wait was the line getting in, the rest came super fast. We were seated and a few minutes later we got our food. The food was simply delicious and the service was amazing. Everyone was amazingly helpful and so friendly. I really enjoyed my experience.
