We have been coming to Thai Spoon for around 2 years now. Frankly, we used to come almost every week to two times a week when we first started coming here, but as of the past couple of months I’ve noticed a lot of changes in both the food and waiting service.Food:It’s really inconsistent. Sometimes they serve small portions which after a year of experience is definitely noticeable. And what’s worse is that it’s a gamble whether or not the food actually tastes good. The fact that we now have to consistantly ask the vegetables to be burnt, because they used to be really well cooked but now they serve practically raw vegetables (this is consistant). But the food overall I would say is good.Service:Service has been terrible. There used to be a lot more older and experienced folk in Thai Spoon who actively kept up with you. My favourite was this guy who really knew his way around the restaurant, and whenever me or my friends or family are vegetarian he would mention “hey this has fish oil” or something per each dish. But sadly he and a lot of other people were let go. What was replaced is a lot of college students, which isn’t terrible alone, however the quality of service has drastically decreased. For example, they never check in on the table; low key feel like they check more on tables with white people more than people of color. But regardless, it’s been consistently having a need to wave down a waiter in order to even just have our drinks served such as a simple sprite. Or a need to refill. Or even the normal “how is the food currently”. None of that happens as of late. Service is consistently bad regardless of business.I understand there may be hardships for restaurants in given time, and I feel like with the amount of changes they have even done with the food or appetizers such as removing the sweet potato chips instead of the shrimp chips. But Service is really what makes or breaks the restaurant. This to me is a Break.

My friend and I go here all the time. Even when they become very busy, the service is always punctual and the food is always amazing. Their staff is always kind and friendly. Every time I come here, I enjoy every minute. Please try Thai Spoon out if you like Thai food and you're in Athens!

Love this place! Very good Pad Thai! The chicken spring rolls were fantastic. Love the atmosphere. And our server, the queen, was awesome! Vegetable spring rolls were not good though. Only reason I’m giving a 4 star. Would love to come back!

I am a big Thai fan. Thai spoon delivered! The food here was absolutely incredible. I looked around the restaurant there were no plates that weren't wiped clean! I was seated right away, and the restaurant was very clean and meticulously kept. I cannot wait to go back and try more options on their extensive menu!

Hands down the best food in Athens- so addicting!!
It was alright service and I'm not a huge fan of that side of town and the food did not wow me. With that said, I should mention that I accidentally ordered the garlic chicken when I meant to say the ginger chicken... so I was a bit disappointed and the waitress didn't offer to rectify it... my mistake I can't expect them to do too much about that. However, I order a level 2 spicy and it came out blazing hot and that definitely wasn't my fault. They compensated the over spicy by giving me $1.90 off my meal.... Even my friend tried my dish and compared it to the heat levers of hers, which was also a 2, and she said mine was much hotter. I had the dumplings, spring rolls and Tom yum soup. The soup was good but the others were sub par. I think this experience was ok. I may give it a second try, but only if there's a special occasion to do so.... For instance, the request of a friend, otherwise I won't go. Sorry Thai Spoon... I had higher expectations.

We had been wanting to try Thai food for awhile, and decided while we were in Athens to give it a go. We found Thai Spoon through a quick Google search and came across this place. Someone had posted a picture of their Thai Tea, and it simply looked so yummy that we chose to stop in. That picture was not deceiving! The tea was absolutely delicious, the food was presented beautifully and super tasty. Our experience from the staff was 10/10. They were so friendly and efficient. We will be making the trip from Winder more frequently now that we have found this restaurant!
I didn't know they close the store between lunch and dinner, but I luckily got there at the perfect time.The server was super sweet and nice, and the foot came out fast.Solid food for reasonable price :)
