Good if unusual food. Need more variety in their cider selection though.Update: First time back here in many years. Service OK, french fries good (and in great number!), fish over-battered (possibly more breading than fish) but otherwise alright.

Interesting selection of food. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was very tasty, but should have been warmer in the center of the plate. It offered a nice range of salt from the cheese and bacon, sweet from the slightly charred caramelized sprouts, a satisfying lardy meatiness attributable to the bacon and the sprouts went a long way to defusing guilt. I mean veggies, right? The Reuben was competent, but not nearly toasted / grilled enough. It has obviously been introduced to a grill yet remained sadly under toasted. The corned beef portion was adequate and the cheese nicely melted (I assume via salamander.) I thought the sauerkraut with bacon and jalapenos and odd choice as the kraut was not sauer enough. The bacon and jalapenos overwhelmed the too lightly fermented cabbage. Ultimately the sauerkraut added a nice couch and that's about it.One thing that was perfect was the amount of herbed french fries. It was nice to receive a generous portion of herby, not too greasy, potato goodness.I question the persistent use of serving boards rather than plates, or even baskets. It seems a tired holdover from the gastropub past. And those menus! White text on a black background is okay. But red text on black? That creates an accessibility issue, making the menus difficult, if not impossible, to read in the low light atmosphere of the restaurant. The contrast between the red and black creates a problematic homogeneous tone for many, especially those with vision impairment.

I went here maybe a month ago.I enjoyed this myself. It was my first time and the waitress was really nice and helpful. I felt welcoming, I’ll definitely will be coming with my family. The vibe was good and the food was great along with my sweet tea

Layout and strip-mall location are so-so, but the rest is pretty stellar. Recommend takedown tacos and anything that’s a special or chef’s choice.

Met some friends there for a quick bite on a Saturday evening. They're somewhat regulars and have told me about it but it took me a while to get there. It's a cool little pub with a pretty decent bar selection and food to match. Although the drink menu offers some really interesting options I stick with my Handsome Johnny with Tito's. And it was garnished with a nice piece of candied ginger which I truly appreciate. For my meal I ordered a seared ahi sandwich and chose bacon potato salad as my side instead of fries, coleslaw, or veggies. The sandwich was really good! Ahi cooked perfectly and seasoned really well so you can still taste the freshness of the ahi adding only an influence of seasoning complimenting it perfectly. The potato salad was delicious! Why didn't I ever think to put bacon in mine?? My only downside is the location which is in a small part of the shopping area tucked behind Athens Art and Frame and Little Caesar's. They deserve to be closer to the university.

Service: ***** Our server Dallas was friendly and fast.Food ***** great menu options with every plate exploding with flavor. Ruben sandwich was on point. The bacon potato salad and extra side: horseradish slaw fought for our favor. It was a tie!Portion size ***** plenty left over for a snack later today.

We thought this would be another average place but glad to say we were wrong. Everything we had was a notch above.... tried the fried cauliflower and were pleased to see that you can add a different sauce other than buffalo. Had honey chipotle and it was delicious. Dallas (bartender) was outstanding. Offered plenty of good suggestions for both food and drinks. They even had a seasonal favorite beer of ours. Excellent job, Dallas for a most enjoyable time.... we'll be back to the restaurant soon.

Based on their menu, I was really looking forward to trying their burgers however, we walked in, got seated and then we're ignored. A high top table that just walked in was asked for drinks and redirected to a new table for their child. No one ever stopped for us before we walked out. Even after refilling tables are and us.I guess we will never know how good or bad the burgers really are!

I sat at the bar.Great selection of draft beers. Unfortunately the bartender did not pay attention to my food order and the kitchen staff overcooked my burger.I ordered the house burger extra rare without a bun. My order arrived with the bun and medium well. The staffs’ response lacked empathy or concern, and the manager was not informed, or did not care to speak with me.
