The atmosphere was relaxed and the serivce was personable. The food on the other hand was a let down. The BBQ was delicious and flavorful but the mac n cheese and coleslaw had very little flavor. I got the pimento cheese dip and that also lacked flavor. My brother got the Barbarella and loved it.

Lovely hidden BBQ joint in Athens!! Found it while walking for porchfest, and in doing so found a fantastic place to eat!Awesome indoor and outdoor seating with lovely rustic yet modern decor, really good and also creative food, and lovely staff!!Parking: Parking is best across the street at I believe a church(?) or street!

Good, not exceptional. The service is great and the staff are friendly. The barbecue pork was good, but no better than many other barbecue joints. The mac and cheese was ok, but not memorable. The coleslaw was sad - essentially just coarsely chopped cabbage with some mayo mixed in. The barbecue sauce has too much vinegar, in my humble opinion, even for those of us who prefer vinegar-based sauces. I may try this place again in the future, but for now, nothing about the food brings "gourmet" to mind.

The Barbarella was the best sandwich I've ever had. Smoked pulled pork over 8 hrs, with melted provolone is simply the best thing. I took 25 minutes eating it because it was so good I didn't want the experience to end. Chloe and Jeffery were welcoming, and warm serving everyone there with a smile on their faces. GET THEM A RAISE !! the only issue was parking on a busy day can be tough to find. OVer all 10's across the board for my new favorite greasy spoon!
Clearly understaffed when I went. Waited an hour for food. I pass alot of other places to eat here- kinda feel dumb as I sit here. I hope they get their stuff together because the food is good... when you can get it.Edit: Finally got my food, got home, my order was messed up and I received foods that I am allergic to.

The food was good- Had a burger that had some of the freshest ingredients I've had in a while on it, and great bread. Also tried a brisket sandwich, which was good, but needed a bit more sauce to complete the deal. All of the sandwiches and burgers being a-la-carte is a bit of a downer, but I'd go back and try some other things!
