This restaurant is hands down the best authentic Italian restaurant I have ever experienced. I have tried most things on the menu and never been disappointed. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and are patient to explain any menu items. The drinks and dessert are amazing as well. I can’t say enough good things about my experience every time. I live three hours away and never miss a chance to go there if I am in Athens!

We live locally and have made and canceled reservations twice but today was the day we finally got to eat at Zz & Simone’s. My DIL has raved about the focaccia with whipped ricotta. My hubby wanted the salmon crudite. The only thing to do was get both! The salmon was ABSOLUTELY amazing! For dinner my husband had the chicken parm and I had the nights special, butternut squash ravioli. I’m pretty sure that butternut squash ravioli just like this is what is eaten in heaven and it hurts my feelings that it’s not on the regular menu but if they have it get it!!!!! The chicken parm was very very good too! The service was amazing the atmosphere was perfect! It seemed like you would be able to get a seat outside without a reservation, and being December there were enough heaters that that is a definite option and shouldn’t scare you off if that’s the only available reservation. All of this to say. There’s a reason reservations are recommended at zz & Simone’s!

A picture perfect date night with food, drinks, and ambiance that far exceeds anything else on the Athens dining scene, ZZ & Simone's far exceeded any expectations I had and has quickly cemented itself as my favorite spot in town. We visited on a recent weekend trip to town, and came early with reservations on Friday. This spot has a very well done and social media friendly interior- with soft pastels and trendy accents galore- but we opted for a big, semi-private table on their spacious and relaxed patio. It made for a perfect setting for an incredible meal. This spot's menu is top-notch and features a great array of classic Italian with modern touches. Their cocktail and wine list follows this model, and we started with a bright and delicate limoncello cosmopolitan for me and seriously one of the best margaritas- brightened with mandarin juice for an outstanding citrus burst- I've had in a while. For starters, we shared their tasty focaccia with lemony ricotta and a crunchy and fresh Caesar with a generous portion of grana shavings to finish. For our meals, we each sampled from their pizza menu- a delicious Bianca for her, and a lemon pizza- topped with red onion and lemon zest- for me. Fluffy, chewy, and salty, they were perfect. We ended our meal with a couple of glasses of sambuca from their enormous selection of digestifs, served traditionally with three espresso beans for good luck. A five-star meal served in a relaxed but beautiful and trendy setting, ZZ & Simone's is one of the best meals I've had in a while and is unmatched pizza, drinks, and vibes in Athens, Atlanta, and beyond.
