The food is amazing I strongly recommend the shrimps tacos or the avocado one. The service is excellent, James and Taddeo make you feel home and they are very nice. Great spot also if you just want to grab a drink.

The staff here was great--really kind and relaxed--and the atmosphere was really fun. Even the overhead music was good, and everything looked clean and well-maintained, too. Service was fairly quick even though the restaurant was busy, and even for a party of five, our food came out pretty close together, so we didn't need to wait long for our entire party to get their meals (some plates were sharing, some individual). The drinks and food were quite delicious, and while some of the prices are a little high IMO (around $6 per single taco/$13-$15 per drink), I still really enjoyed everything and would love to go back.Of the things we ordered, the baja (fish) and avocado tacos were my favorite, and the chips and guac/queso were also really delicious.Would highly recommend!

Barbacoa was hopping last night. My octopus was delicious. The Bad & the Ugly margarita was yummy and hit the spot. Still my favorite place to grab predictably great food and drinks in VAHI.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful date night at Bar.bacoa. The food was all delicious, the house margaritas were both strong which was perfect and price was very affordable. Thank you for a great time.

My favorite tortilla soup! Also really love the beef barbacoa taco. The plate portion sizes are on the smaller side (see quesadilla) but great place for tapas.

James is a humble and cool bartender, and owner. I always enjoy my time here. This place is 200 feet from my house and I feel fortunate to be so close to a great bar and tapas place.Dietary restrictions: They are very open to menu changes for dietary restrictions

We don't live in Atlanta, so I sent a message to ATLPEACHEATS on Instagram and asked her where to eat. We received a quick response, Barbacoa. It was a great place to try lots of different dishes and enjoy a great meal with great friends. I thought it was cool that each person had a favorite dish.

We understand that it was Taco Tuesday and a busy night, but service was exceptionally poor. We had a table of 11 guests. We ordered a bunch of food. We assumed that they were just busy and running behind, until a food runner came up to our table and asked us if we were missing anything. We stated that we were missing 10+ tacos that we ordered. We relayed this information 4 times to 3 different staff members (including our server). The first 3 times, they did not write down what was missing, and tried to memorize what we were missing. At the end, we never received 2 tacos. The server had an attitude and said we received everything, so we waited to see what the check said. We got the check and it still had the 2 tacos on it, which we never received. I approached the server, asking to remove them ($6 for 2 tacos). I was treated like I was lying to them over $6, when we had a check that was $260. The manager approached and was basically implying that I was lying to him about us missing 10 tacos, originally, and he did not believe that we were still missing 2 more. He was very unprofessional for a general manager. I, myself, work in the industry and was alarmed that this is how a manager would react. Practically no good service, though we understand poor service because of a busy night and short staffing, yet they still auto gratuity for terrible service and for treating you poorly, when they made mistakes delivering your ordered items. My group (11 of us) used to regular this place every single week. I'm not sure we'll do anymore business with them. Note that taco quality is a little lower on Taco Tuesdays.
