You are paying a very high price for a tiny bit of steak but unlimited French fries, therefore you are paying a great deal of money for the fries. They ARE delicious mind you. Very tight space to sit in and it's loud.

Amazing the steak was cooked perfect. They only do it at medium rare but it doesn’t matter it’s so good. They had the best fries I’ve ever had. They had some sort of system outage the night we went so we got a drink somewhere and came back. They had our name on a list and got us seated fairly quick after coming back. Super friendly staff as well. FYI it is walk in only. I would personally not go with more than 4 because it is a tight space.

Kevin was great. Some people are saying " there's no bathroom" it's just across the way don't overreact. It's just really small in here so the bathroom is clean and by jennis ice cream. The $62 bottle was light fruity and fine. The salad impressed me, I'm not a salad eater but you aren't just paying for it. It's really really good. Butter is bomb. Hollandaise is bomb. Steak cooked MR no mistakes. Tuesday evening is relaxed. Bravo!

The simplicity x sophistication of the place made it feel exclusive yet approachable (like a great kept secret)Came around 6:30 on a Tuesday, and there were plenty of seats. Things got busy at 7. Wouldn’t recommend coming with more than 4 people. No more than 25 seats in the whole place, and tables were small. Every course was perfection: salad, bread (even the butter was incredible), steak, and frites. Highly recommend as your next date night spot!

Someone I was with wanted to go to marcel and I wanted to treat them for their birthday but sadly couldnt get a reservation. I heard of this place and then thought this looks worth a try. Went on a tuesday.This is probably the highest rated review ill ever give that hurt my soul. The atmosphere and service are great. The person I was with ordered a drink that she didnt know would be bitter and the server did his best to adjust the drink which did help some but I knew she still didnt like it as much however who could have known that wouldnt have been sweet so no fault there just unfortunate.The food is good I can't complain much about that, the frites wear cooked more than I wanted as I wanted what they looked like in the pictures. Its just that I thought for 49.99 each person would have at least that amount of steak, not necessarily 2 frite trays, but one tray of steak per person.To my dismay 1 was for all. The steak slices were also pretty small. I sat there starving as the person I was with ate. The two pieces I had were delicious but at least do yourself a favor and know that is what you get for two people everything in the photo only. Then you will enjoy yourself and know what to expect. Only reason I couldnt give five stars smh.Its a nice place with great service but I was so shocked since I didnt know, wish they would have explained that better over the phone.

Amazing. The only thing you have to worry about is what to drink. Not a lot of wine offerings by the glass, but a fantastic drink menu overall. Very reasonably priced and delicious, but I think it would be a nice touch to add a small sweet at the end of the meal - something like a macaron, palmier, madeleine or similar would be a nicer touch than the Andes. Ask for the bearnaise!

Nice intimate atmosphere with great service! Stopped by for dinner and enjoyed the set menu -- would definitely recommend this spot for a date night as the seating area doesn't have much space. The fries were a bit too salty. But otherwise, the food, wine, service and ambiance is all around a great addition to west midtown. Also bonus points that the food is allergy friendly (shellfish).
Been trying to check Bar Blanc since it opened, and glad we were able to make it happen a week or so ago. Thankfully we arrived around 7ishpm so it wasn't packed at all. We we were greeted and asked if we were drinking, or eating as well; We opted to just have a couple drinks since we had reservations at L Sparrow for dinner. Went up to the bar and ordered some drinks while we and friends caught up and chilled for a bit. Drinks were really good, but not much to report after that. We will be back for those steak + frittes, so will report back!

Bar Blanc was worth the wait. It is very small inside with a walk-up bar if you're just there for drinks and about a dozen or so tables if you want to eat. They do not take reservations, so either get there early or pack your patience. The food is a prix-fixe menu, starting with a salad, bread and butter, then steak and unlimited frites. I've eaten here a few times now and the service has been great. I'm really hoping as it warms up, they add a few more tables outside to serve food to more people. Highly recommend for either drinks and/or dinner.
