This place is a good place to go after work for drinks and small plates. There is a good selection of food so that most people would enjoy eating there. I personally hate loud restaurants but this one is not because of the open access to the outside seating. The mix drinks are good. As a wine bar though, it has a rather limited variety of wines. It focuses on Spanish wines, if that is your thing. If you insist on French, American or Italian wines, you’re out of luck.

Overall this establishment has delicious food, and friendly staff. The biggest con is that even with a reservation you still end up waiting 20-40 mins after arrival. I don’t understand the point of having a reservation just to wait that long. I have visited this restaurant twice now and this has been my experience both times.

me and the roomie came for happy hour and had a hoot and holler of a time! the bartenders were super friendly and i loved the vibe of the bar area! to drink i started with their sparkling wine flight (incredible deal at $10) we got a few bites from the beef tartare which my roommate loved to the croquettes and also a meat and cheese spread. happy hour espresso martini was delicious!! i would come back again for sure. my roommate used to work in fine dining and was a little dissatisfied at the service, as they forgot to put an item in for us or had to come back to ask about our drink, but it didn't read rude to me. I'm pretty lax on that stuff, but wanted to share her perspective!

I came in for the first time last Saturday to this location. While the food wasn’t as great as the N Highland location our server Angela was super knowledgeable and fun! Wish she worked at the one on N. Highland as we enjoy that location more!
This place is really interesting because it seems to be known for its tapas plates so it has very little big plate options but we did order the fish and it was immaculate. The fish was fresh, crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. The wine options are vast and the tapas plates are really good as well! We tried the steak, cauliflower, and the calamari. The host was absolutely amazing, they were friendly and so funny! Our server was professional and knew the menu inside and out.
I have been to this Barcelona location 3 times now. Every time I have sat at the bar. The food is pretty good (when its hot) however, I have noticed a consistency to the lack of attention at the bar. Last time I was there the food was pretty good but they forgot one of the small plates. I would of reminded them but I didn’t get to speak to anyone at the bar until 30 minutes later. It wasn’t packed but bar employees disappear consistently. I decided to leave when the woman who was at the bar had her back to us talking to 3 men for probably 15 straight minutes. At that point i was just ready to leave. Which is there loss because we wanted to grab a few deserts but we went somewhere else because of the lack of attention. I had my partners drink and my drink empty while just sitting there. Eventually I flagged down a different bartender and grabbed the check. I like the service at cooks and soldiers better.
Great variety in food selection and atmosphere. No iced tea (?!?) or chocolate cake - which took about 10 mins for the server to tell us about. Service was poor at best and food prices were on higher end, but good evening overall.I gave 3 stars based on poor attention from server and time to get food out.Will try one more time as it may have been an ‘off night’.

Barcelona Wine Bar’s atmosphere holds an overall ambiance and you can’t go wrong with the food and drink selection! My first experience and the exceptional service continues to bring my friends and I back every time! Orlando and Nat provide phenomenal service at the bar, and are very kind and friendly. General Manager Nick is always floating around with a smile on his face, making sure everyone’s needs are met! Overall great experience for any type of occasion.
