Went back to Basil after a very long time. When I lived close by I used to dine there often. We had a pleasant experience overall but I was not impressed about the food this time and it might have been because we chose the wrong items. We ordered the fries and blue cheese thinking it must had been something out of the ordinary. Instead it was literally a bowl of not so special fries with some blue cheese sauce to dip them (10$). We also tried the kibbeh croquettes. We got 2 very dry small croquettes with some yogurt sauce ($14). Hoping in something that would turn the experience around we ordered the lamb shawarma platter to share which was good. Dessert (creme brûlé cheesecake) was delicious. Got a glass of Pessimist and I was pleased about its temperature, just perfect for a red full body wine. Will need to go back to be able to try more appetizers and change my mind about the quality. The manager lady is very kind and professional! She loves her job you can tell. Kudos! Service was on point and ambience too. We dined on the patio under a large umbrella and it was very pleasant.

We had a great work event at Basils, which from the start accommodated our request by opening 30 minutes early. Upon arrival, all tables were set up, wine glasses prepared and a bartender ready to go. Appetizers were served shortly after guests arrived - fried ravioli, mushroom flatbread, and Caprese Crostini - all were excellent! The dinner was served shortly after, and even after the filling appetizers, much was consumed because it was simply delicious!! The vibes, the cozy environment and attentiveness were on point. I strongly recommend Basils for large parties or events! My guests want to do it again!Parking: The restaurant has a free valet serve, which makes going there very convenient.

Basil has been a part of our family life from way back when. And that’s important, because we have been coming for about two decades or so and it’s just always an amazing wonderful vibe. Great food. Perfect atmosphere. Authentic. Even if it’s for a now 30 -year-been married date. … you feel festive. Really delish vegetarian and vegan options too. Everything is yummy. Enjoy!

I hosted a surprise birthday party for my wife's 70th birthday here. We had about 40 guests, and we had the best evening imaginable.I met with Joseph, the owner, on three separate occasions to plan everything. He put together beautiful centerpieces for the tables, suggested the seating, and then helped plan a menu that was just perfect. And the wines he suggested paired perfectly with the food. But it wasn't just the outstanding food and beautiful wines that made the evening so lovely. It was the ambiance, and the heart and soul that Joseph, Anya, and the rest of the team put into making it such a meaningful evening for us.Thank you to each of you for helping make such a wonderful memory that will be with us the rest of our lives.

After reading the reviews of Basils, I was excited to try it. It sounded like a local, family-owned restaurant that really cares about their customers. And I am not familiar with Lebanese food, so we were excited to explore a bunch of different tapas. We started by ordering a charcuterie board that was supposed to be meats, cheeses, pickles, and olives. I asked our server which Lebanese wine he would recommend, and he really didn’t seem to care to give an opinion, so I just picked one. We told him it was our first visit and we were excited to eat a bunch of tapas. Again, he didn’t seem to care and just took our initial order. When they brought the charcuterie, there was no cheese. Seemed odd, but we moved on and ordered a second round of tapas. And we never saw the server again….A food runner brought our second tapas, and not one other person ever checked in on us to take another order, refill our wine or water, or even just to see if we were ok. We asked a food runner to send over our server so we could order more food, but no one ever came by. We stared down servers as they passed our table and served all of the tables around us. Nothing. The restaurant was busy, but nothing a decent restaurant couldn’t handle. I have never experienced poor service anywhere close to this before. There was a large party on one side of us, and a few smaller parties on the other side of us. We watched servers go to each of these tables repeatedly. It was like we were invisible. We finally walked up to the front of the restaurant to ask for our check. Even then, no one asked why we were cutting our meal short.I wish we could have experienced the caring, familial atmosphere described in so many of the reviews, but we definitely did not. And I wish I knew why. But I will never be back to find out. You get one chance to make a first impression, and Basils failed miserably.

We really enjoyed our tapas tonight. We had grape leaves, muscles and calamari. All were good size portions for the price on this side of town.

Thank you so much to Joseph and his wonderful staff for helping to celebrate my MIL's 50th birthday. We had a wonderful time and we'll definitely be back.I just want to share that if anyone ever needs reservations for any occasion I would recommend Basil's every time. There are no extra fees for bring cakes or reservations in general. It was super easy to plan everything with Joseph and i'm so glad we were able to have this celebration at a wonderful restaurant. The staff were super attentive and helpful throughout the night making sure we were comfortable. We were given complimentary mini flatbread appetizers for the table (I didn't get to take any pictures of them but they were DELICIOUS)The food was absolutely amazing. I got the fusilli margarita pasta, my fiancé got the North GA trout, and my sister got the paella de mariscos. My MIL got the lamb loin chops. The food was so fresh and fragrant. I tried the strawberry mockito and it was really good. If you like mint, you will love it. It's really refreshing with the fresh strawberries in it. My little sister got the peachy iced tea and she said the flavors were balanced.I would recommend Basil's to everyone and for all occasions. They will take care of you and you will not leave disappointed. I will definitely be back with my fiancé for dinner lunches/dates in the future ❤️Parking: There is free valet parking behind the restaurant. There is an option to tip based on the days but it is not required. The gentlemen that handles valet parking is professional and respectful. He handles the cars with care and ensures that your vehicles are in safe hands.

We have not been to Basil's in some time and remembered that it's usually a good bet. Once again we were impressed by the quality of the food. We had a waiter who was obviously new but nothing serious. The ambience is a bit strange in the front room since there are folding chairs there and the lighting could be better, especially to show off the food presentation. As per most moderately priced restaurants the wine list is not is sync with the food and the Rose we bought was marked up 300% over our liquor store price but overall the experience was a good value. The Mezza Dips are amazing....just saying. Also the was a great live guitarist / vocalist that was not to loud and very talented. They could stand some changes to the overall menu, which has not changes much in many years.

We were transported! In a short drive we left Atlanta for the Mediterranean. Welcoming and friendly, felt like part of the family. Truly- they brought us food from their family table before they ate and it was ANAZING! Exquisitely genuine. Authentic, real ingredients. Great portion sizes. The people made it over the top. It’s easy to find great food in Atlanta. This was great food with heart and a sense of belonging. We will definitely come again.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free

Basil’s combines notably high quality entrees with an accessible dining atmosphere. After having eaten here three times, I’d conclude without hesitation that the lamb burger is the best lamb entree I’ve eaten in my life. I’ve also found the service diligent and speedy thus far. It seems as though it’d be perfect for weekend dinner gatherings, private parties, or special occasions. The menu features a wide range of prices with a variety of Mediterranean options. Really enjoyed it 5/5
