On March 30, 2024, at 8:15 PM, six of my family members and I decided to take a stroll on Edgewood for a bite to eat. As we passed by Cafe Circa, we noticed it was seemingly empty and the music was lively. We waited approximately 10 minutes for the security guard to check IDs and pat us down, only to be informed of a $20 cover charge for women and a $40 cover charge for men, despite there being no more than five people in the bar. Declining the offer, the security guard then asked if we would pay $20, to which we still refused. It appeared to us that the staff at the door and the security guard were trying to hustle customers. This practice of imposing high cover charges on an empty bar is detrimental to business. Additionally, we realized that the money they tried to charge at the door would have been better spent inside, enjoying drinks and having a good time. Instead, we decided to go to the bar next door, where we had a blast.

We had a table downstairs. Was told by servers that we could go upstairs at to sit. We sat at a table ordered food, drinks, and hookah. Only 2 people recieved meals. Server came back over an hour later and stated that we would need to buy bottle to stay at table. This information should have been shared before we were seated and ordered. Bottle on site was $150 but we were told menu was wrong and bottles were $300.We finally received food for rest of party and was told we had to move. There were not any tables available to move to. We were agreeable to leave but would not pay for food that we were not allowed to finish eating. Very poor customer service and poorly organized.

The drink I got the whole 2 n a half hrs we waited for food was pretty good n reasonable. When they finally brought out the nachos it was basically a pile of chips with lil meat n cheese I dug threw it to find nothing but chips. I didn't get to taste any thing else cuz I'm refusing food 3 hrs later.

Complete and total disrespect of my appearance. The foul language, insulting noise somehow identified as music? If you identify as a NIGG@ you might fit right in......

Supporting black-owned businesses is challenging when they dont care about their own business and give subpar service . I recently ordered a po'boy and onion rings for $20. Unfortunately, the po'boy arrived on plain sandwich bread with only three grilled unseasoned shrimp and a small amount of lettuce. Waited an hour and the food was ice cold. It was incredibly dry and unappetizing, especially since we didn't receive any condiments. I wouldn’t recommend this place to the homeless people outside.

I am part of the NY Giants crew. I've had plenty of good times here over the years. I cannot speak too much to the food but seems average. Service is 3.5 to 4 on most days. Atmosphere... good vibe. Overall a 4 star experience.

Good atmosphere and music with as decent sized crowd. The waitstaff could have been better.

The atmosphere was nice, just know I will not return when NY is playing football. That’s all who were in there and the DJ only played up north music as well, and ALL the big flat screens only had the N.Y. game on. Would have been nice to cater to all teams since you are here in Atlanta with a business.

Cafe Circa in ATL is a complete let down. Got here at noon leaving at 2pm with no food at all. Don't open on time and asked us to wait. Got sat and no chef was present so we had drinks while we waited. 1.5 hours later we were still waiting for our food which I asked how much longer as I had to leave to catch my flight. Two hours in one of the people in our group got food. The other had to get it to go due to the delay. I didn't get anything. Aside from that, extremely loud music. We should be able to talk without yelling because the music is loud. Overall bad experience

We had a lot of fun, and the food was amazing and worth the return, alone. We had salmon n grits & whole wings with¹ french toast. So full of flavor! The advertising about the Brunch Mimosa R&B Day Party needs to be made clear as there was some confusion about this. It would have been nice to hear more R&B during the event. The DJ played a lot of hip-hop, catering to his own liking, but once he started playing R&B, the customers lit up, danced, and really appeared to be having a great time. Once the rooftop opened, we went up and planned to hang up there a while longer, but they turned off all heaters, which made it cold and uncomfortable, so we left. We will definitely return again now knowing what to expect.
