Decent spicey Fried Chicken but the sides were a little bland. The service was friendly & the wait for the entree was for the chicken being freshly fried. We tried to order fried pickle spears for an appetizer, but they were out. I went with the basic 2 piece dark platter that came with baked beans and cole slaw. The beans were good but the cole slaw was a bit bland. My daughter ordered the 3 piece chicken tenders with seasoned fries & potato salad. She was pleased with her selection. Overall a decent lunch. Would go again if in the area, mbut wouldn’t go out of my way to go.

This was our first time here. My husband had eaten at the one in Memphis Tn while on the road, and he said it was very good. I'd never had it. We went on 6-7-22 midday, and there were some mishaps for sure. I ordered 2 piece white plate, breast & wing, coleslaw, baked beans & white bread. My husband ordered half chicken, baked beans, fries and white bread. Of course it's fried, that's there specialty. Our food came out in about 3 to 4 minutes. They gave us chicken that was hard, dry and cold, of course it had been cooked and sitting a while ago. I took it back and they cooked some fresh pieces. I couldn't believe they brought that to us to start with. My husband said Memphis location is way better nothing like this one at all. Although fresh chicken was cooked and it tasted fine, I'm pretty sure we will not be going back to this location.

We were very pleased with our experience. The staff was friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed. The fried green tomatoes were a big hit and the chicken was very good. I highly recommend the macaroni and cheese as one of your sides. We went during lunch and it was not to busy.

Went in for dinner and was seated quickly. Drink came out quick and so did the food. Chicken was tender and juicy and hot. Ordered fry’s potato salad and all was delicious.

Perfect first meal in Atlanta for our family. We were super hungry and wanted to find a restaurant with fried chicken. This place met our expectations and the fried chicken was so delicious. We each got the special, which was 2 chicken breasts. When the food came out the waitress let us know that they still needed to fry 2 more breasts, but gave us 2 thighs in their place while waiting for the breasts. We thought that level of service was so refreshing and honest. The fried okra was also good and we talked about the Mac and cheese for days after our meal.

We were looking for a soul food/fried chicken establishment during our visit to Atlanta and we found exactly what we were looking for when we walked into Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken. It was so good! I am not a spicy eater so I was happy it wasn't overly spiced. It had just the right kick. The beans and cole slaw were both so delicious also. Our waitress was really helpful and friendly. We had a really good and nice lunch. I highly recommend.

Average chicken and southern sides. Our family of 4 was seated right away at 6pm on a Thursday night. Great service but disappointing food.

After a meeting downtown a group of 5 of us walked to Benihana for dinner not aware that they had gone out of business. Since this was next door we decided to give it a try even though there was a significant wait due to many people that were there for a conference in the nearby hotel that were also waiting to eat. We waited 35 minutes for a table but we were seated without menus. We sat discussing the meeting and other things for a significant amount of time before we realized a server had not been to our table yet. Since we didn’t have anywhere else to be we decided as group to see how long we could sit there before someone that worked there noticed that we had not been served anything. The answer was 43 minutes! An unapologetic server finally realized we were in her section, brought us menus and took our drink order. After getting menus we realized all the chicken options on the menu were listed as spicy as well as many of the sides. When our server returned with drinks we inquired if any of the chicken entrées could be made plain, not spicy. Our sever then got very snotty with us and replied “no, all the chicken is served spicy, that’s why the sign says Gus’s Famous Spicy Chicken!” We informed her the word spicy was not in the name at all and we had no way of knowing from the sign outside that all the chicken was only served spicy. Again, no apology for her outburst or misinformation. How do you work somewhere and not know the actual name of the place on the side of the building? Now we were in a predicament as 3 members of our group could not eat spicy food. After being there for over and hour and half 3 of us ordered grilled cheese sandwiches and mashed potatoes from the kids menu for dinner while the other 2 got to enjoy this allegedly famous chicken. At least we know not to come back.

We read about Gus's on here and we wanted some good fried chicken when we were in Atlanta, and boy did we find it! Good God! The chicken had a tiny kick of spice which made it even better! Our waitress was amazing (forgot her name- oops). The greens, mac & cheese & baked beans were more then what we expected! It's in a mall type area. Do not let this fool you, a lot of places are in here. You NEED to stop here for some good Southern food!

We were here our first night in Atlanta. The chicken was absolutely the best. Delicious! Sides were delicious as well. Place is busy and informal, but very good. Service was great. Our server comped us a few items since it was our first time!

We placed an order to go on a Sunday evening. Couldn’t give it 5 stars since the order was wrong and had to be recycled multiple times. Honestly they seemed more concerned with shuffling people through line than being accurate. The food was very very good and cooked perfectly. If you like Nashville hot chicken I think you’ll really enjoy the food. The Mac and cheese is also outstanding.

Driving through back home ,we discovered Gus chicken , we actually were headed to American breakfast club. Too crowded, so we drove off and by accident found this Amazing chicken restaurant. Parking garage across street, $12 for two hrs. Highly recommend!!!

We had lunch here one day during our stay in Atlanta. I was a bit worried about the "hot and spicy" description of the chicken, because my husband likes food with absolutely no spice, but he ate everything, and declared it delicious. I loved that the chicken was so crispy outside and so tender and juicy on the inside. Definitely worth a visit here for a moderately priced, delicious, and filling meal.

The BEST fried chicken and chicken tenders I’ve ever had. The Mac and cheese was also phenomenal. Such good food and great customer service! Very friendly atmosphere.

Wow! Best fried chicken ever on our first family visit to Atlanta. So moist and the coating was crispy and spicy. Everything we tried was delicious … fried green tomatoes, slaw, greens … all so good. Eric looked after us and we were grateful for the chance to experience true southern hospitality. Thank you!!
