Extremely delicious pastries! Must try the three mousse chocolate cake and the light and dark pastry! The triple chocolate cake could use some work, but I highly recommend the cakes with at least 4 layers(3 cake layers) which have the perfect balance of cake to cream. A slice of pastry and pot of tea is the perfect night to experience.Vegetarian options: There are vegan options availableDietary restrictions: There are gluten free options available

I would like to start off by stating that I have been coming to the Cafe Intermezzo chain for the past 8 years, since 2016. Their food and cakes/desserts are very delicious/delectable and tasty - I am very familiar with their signature items as I visit the Dunwoody location as well.Over the past year, I have been trying my best to avoid cafe intermezzo (Midtown) due to the HORRIBLE service I had been receiving.I visited this restaurant today, April 15th, 2024 and probably had one of the most unpleasant restaurant visits with the worst service. I ordered a tres leches cake & a coffee drink and it took about 45 minutes total for me to order and receive those items. It was very hard for me to get my waiters attention - it almost felt like he was ignoring me.Whenever he would come to my table, he would be shy and falsely reassure me that my order would be coming soon. Before my items even came, I asked for the check so I wouldn’t have to wait 2+ hours to receive my check. The atmosphere used to be wonderful, but I saw today that the restaurant is full of people seated in their tables (with no food or drink), looking obviously disappointed because they either have been waiting 30 minutes to order, or waiting 30 minutes to 1 hour for their order. This is honestly very tragic ? I wish Cafe Intermezzo was still luxe, high-class and lived up to its prior standards.

My travelling companion and myself stumbled on this as we left the High Museum. The travelling companion is a coffee fiend and this place was close. To my surprise, it had the feel of an European Coffeehouse. The uniforms and outfits were very much in line with this concept. We were very intrigued by the place. The hostess informed us that it would be 20 minutes to be seated so ushered us to the bar.We decided we could order something to sate our hunger. My friend ordered a shlag cheesecake. He devoured this and had a coffee with whipped cream. I ordered the baked brie. The order came out as the artichoke dip ($13). I told them it was okay that they had gotten the order in correct, but would keep it and to cancel the brie. The baked brie came out 20 minutes later (35 minutes in total) and we still had not been seated either. The person who brought out the brie ($13.50), she was rude and rolled her eyes at me when the bartender indicated that order was cancelled. This was horribly off putting, as she muttered something...I did not catch it all...The artichoke dip was okay, the bread was a ficelle. It was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. Six slices came with the dip in the middle. A nice feta paired with the artichoke dip. The bartender who took care of us was delightful. He was making a ton of drinks. He made sure my sweet tea glass and water glass remained filled. My friend and I decided based on the wait and attitude of that staff member to leave. Our bill came to $37.70 without tip . I would still recommend this place, the atmosphere here is pretty great and the food of what I tried was okay.
